Every time I've seen him, I've just never been that 'wowed' by what he's done on the ball. He's good, but I just don't see what everyone else sees. Guess we're part of a minority.
It seems that way. You are one of three people (including myself) that i know, who don't rate him as highly. He's good, definitely, but i don't see how people can think he's the best player in the world. Most average players could do well with Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Sanchez etc setting them up, especially with the amount of specialised training that Messi has. It's only made worse by the fact everybody insists on rimming him in the same way Alan Smith does to Gerrard.
Messi is a pure genius imo. I would class the likes of Kaka and Ribery as overrated like. Possibly Ibrahimovic aswell, although I do rate him
