December was another good month for APPRAISE showing 38.67 points profit.



December 2011

Winners 22 from 49 selections - a strike rate of 45%

Points Invested - 147

Point profit - 38.67

Profit over turnover - 26%

Biggest Price Winners - Tombi 13/2 Spear Thistle 5/1

Shortest Price - Fingal Bay 4/11

Biggest Unit Investments - 6 point win Fingal Bay 100%

Five Point Investments - 3 from 4 - 75%

Four Point Investments - 7 from 12 - 58%

PS Hope Night Rose is ok after her horrible fall today. She was all over the winner 2 out but these things happen and will go in our favour from time to time too.
 
Great stuff Ardent and may I ask: Do you expect to finish in profit every month, or do you have historical records for previous months? I found it impressive to be in profit in November and December and yet you seem to be steaming ahead nicely in January as well.
 
Hi Oddie the system has been rigoursly tested offline for a few years, and was finishing in profit every month in test, without exception.
However...... it would be unrealistic to expect that there wouldnt be a blip at some point....i've just not come across that blip yet.
The system been designed to work to a margin of 120 points profit a year at a minimum, thats the margin i'm working too, a higher strike rate and one or two bigger price winners can push that margin up. I'm very confident that we can continue to show profit monthly, there are difficult periods though, for example the end of the NH and start of the FLAT proper is a minefield so there are additional factors to consider seasonally and the system is designed with this in mind too.
