No I think signing henry is a great move
He will be your second best player by a mile!!
Finally an honest United fan
He may not have the legs to complete a whole 90 minutes or run quick but he still has his passing skills. 4 years ago he lost some of his pace and he rarely scores goals because he changed his game into passing and dictating and controlling midfield and spraying out his trademark long passes. There's no one in the premier league who can spray the ball around so accurately then Paul Scholes. Even against Manchester city, in 30 minutes, he made more accurate passes then any man city player, he may not have the pace he once had few years ago but he still got his good passing skills, im sure thats why Sir Alex asked him to come back, man utd need a player in midfield who doesn't hardly give the ball away because man utd's midfield this season as been really sloppy in passing.
he might of made a mistake for city's second goal but that's only like one in a million times you see Paul Scholes making a bad pass. Im sure one of the main reason why Sir Alex got him back because we need his trademark long passes.
As long as Scholes still got his passing skills and im sure he has thats all we want from him
Am I the only Man U fan humiliated by this? We should be looking at world class midfield players as of now, not players that were at their best 5 years ago.
I feel really really sorry for Paul Scholes. He is a Man U legend and had the good sense to know when his time was up. He's now going to have to suffer the humiliation of games like today. He must have felt he had no choice when SAF rung, but it is very sad. Sort it out Fergie, spend some ****ing money.

Scholes is a short term solution to a problem that hopefully will get sorted in the summer.
Understand the reasoning, not many available in Jan and the prices can be bad. Better to identify targets and buy them at the end of the season than knee jerk reaction to injuries.
On the other had did you see City's bench?
Hargreaves, Denis Suarez (?), Abdul Razak (?)

Hopefully even earlier - could just be he wanted Scholesy there for three or four games and we may get someone in the next two or three weeks. Tho' summer is much more likely imo.
would scholes have come back and risked tarnishing his great reputation to play in 3 or 4 games - don't think so - could this simply have been a sneaky message to the fans that the glazers have told him there is no money to spend and he has to resort to bringing a player out of retirement - fergie can't have a go at the owners directly but maybe this is a way of doing it - as good as scholes was ( and he was exceptional ) can't see how he can be ready to get tback in to a side challenging for honours having played no first team football for months
Would Scholes have come back and tarnished his great reputation by being forced to play about 20 games in half a year despite admitting his legs have gone? More likely he's been asked to help out in the dressing room and provide a bit of extra experience for a few games what with Vidic and Fletcher both long term injuries.
And SAF could have a go at the owners directly if he wanted - if he had no money to spend and didn't think he had a chance of winning more titles and the CL he'd have quit long ago. It's not as if he needs the money!
fergie could have a go at the owners in private but maybe he wants to send a message that gets to the fans as well - as far as the amount of games scholes might play i think it could backfire badly - if he only plays a few games then what is the point in bringing him back and can#t see him playing a lot of games - also cant do much for the confidence of other united midfielders trying to get a game when he has two ageing midfielders playing (giggs and scholes) one of which has been brought out of retirement
With the amount of "potential" we have at CM with Cleverly, Pogba, Morrison, Tunnicliffe, and you could argue Anderson and Jones, you can see why Fergie gambled on not buying a CM. Sadly his gamble hasn't payed off and he needs to find a CM elsewhere.
As far as Scholes goes, it'll be either a stroke of genius, or a complete failure of an experiment. If he doesn't play much he'll bring a lot of experience into training and the dressing room, that can only benefit the team.
There wasn't much available in the summer. Out of the midfield players to actually make a move, or be available, there was no one who I think would actually have made a big impact in our CM apart from maybe Sahin, and apparently Real have him on the same wages as Vidic!
Still a bit early to say that imo. We're still second in the PL despite Cleverley, Anderson and Jones all being injured for large portions of the season. When Anderson and Cleverley both get back to full fitness we'll be able to make a fair assessment, and buying an extra player does nothing if you have such a massive injury problem as we've had this season. Even City with all their millions to throw around now have midfield problems with only two players out.
