We don't want the average age of the squad to increase by 0.5-1 whole year thanks!

Rhodes and Snodgrass any day, go on PL splash the ca$h, now is the time to invest for the future and secure our season's survival

Did you honestly expect any better Supers? I mean come on, it is Monarch after all I personally thought it was pretty good for him (despite as you say being one of the weakest, most feeble rumours on here).

I'll probably get shot down here, and I know it's clearly not going to happen, but if he proved his fitness and Man Ure paid the large bulk of his wages I'd have him on loan for sure as he is still quality in the box and would stick a fair few away between now and May.

munky, you are dead right - i'm gonna shoot you down big time!!

absolutely no way it would be a good signing. its the sort of signing that all the pundits would say 'wow, great signing' and then he'd play a few games, get injured and pick up his wages watching the horse racing on channel 4. he's not 'had it' for three or four years and it amazes me that he hasn't retired yet.... probably too lazy to do so!

Still got a decent goals to games ratio when he does play, though of course I'll accept that due to his ailing fitness that's not been anywhere near as much as a player of his age and quality should in the past few seasons - he is only 31, just a touch older than Grant Holt though granted a completely different type of player who relies on pace which has diminished over recent years.

Please, please don't think I'm suggesting we should sign him because I don't, just saying that I think he would actually do alright in the yellow and green <ok>

Just read the rest of the story on realsportingnews.com and i quote;

"In a final bit of football transfer news and it is a audacious Norwich transfer rumours with them to be looking
at getting Michael Owen on loan until the end of the season.
This is what you have to love about the transfer windows, the multiples of transfer news which are pure fiction,
and i would say the above one for Norwich falls into that category"

I'll get my coat and join Sid.

I guess the gossip columns shotgun approach will work sometimes. Make up enough rumours, one will eventually hit the mark, and you can pretend you've got solid inside information.

The sad thing is the 'gossip section' probably think Owen is above Norwich when infact none of us would want that useless clown here!
