Maggie was always going to win in 79, Labour had totally ****ed things up as usual. The next election she was up against Michael Foot and lets face it no **** was ever going to vote for a bloke that looked like a scruffy pikey. For the third term she was up against that ginger Welsh windbag Neil kinnock.

Neil Kinnock and Michael Foot ffs <laugh>

Labour may well have returned sooner but anyone remember Kinnock and the Nuremburg style rally where he stood there shouting "Well all riiiiight" in a cod American accent? Made my skin crawl, no wonder the Snatcher waltzed in.

Yes, but for all that the 92 "victory" rally was stupid and a PR disaster, Kinnock was and remains a much more intelligent man than your grocer's burst johnny.

That was in 1983 when all of that stuff seemed ludicrously unlikely and he was lambasted for that speech by the same Fleet St monkeys that celebrated starting a war in international waters.
