Monday's racing comes from Taunton (NH) and Wolverhampton (Flat). Doesn't sound like much does it, but Taunton has a nice card and Ruby Walsh and Barry Geraghty both have rides which makes it a little bit special for a Monday.

At Taunton I like:

13.10 Advisor - bolted up in this grade last time out and was once rated 135 over hurdles people <yikes> I think he can score again here
14.10 Rangitoto - one of those horses who gives the impression he loves the game and with Ruby back on board I think he will walk this
14.40 Giordano Bruno - the Henderson horse will be all the rage here but Phillip Hobbs charge is very interesting after 3 years off the track. Last seen in the 2009 running of the Aintree Champion bumper where he finished 3rd just behind Lidar and in front of horses like Like Minded, Premier Sagas and Wymott I think he could spring a surprise here.
16.10 Kala Patthar - young Brendan Powell is riding really well at the moment and can take this on Colin Tizzard's gelding who was just touched off by a Nicky Henderson runner on boxing day and makes his handicap debut off a mark of 110. The Henderson horse is rated 126 so I think that was a fair effort from Kala Patthar and with young Brendan claiming 5 here I think he has a favourites chance.

Evening Odddy <ok>

I agree Rangitoto looks a good bet tmz at 15/8 <ok>. At the moment I would agree with you on the Hobbs horse as well, not a big fan of Darlan. Need to study that race more though

Will get that one <cheers> fella. Brilliant win for your boys today. Away to Blackpool next - they have some smashing players. Brighton or Wrexham away for the toon

Aye well happy. Would've liked a home draw but what the hell. Will be tough to get a result away at Blackpool though.

Brighton or Wrexham should be a no-brainer for the toon.

Fook knows <laugh> the 2nd one has got me buckled- funniest tale I have heard

6.40 on the 2nd one <laugh> my Uncle Ernie smashed its heed in win a shovel

Evening lads!

again well done today oddy!

I also like the look of Rangitoto! Looks like the bet of the day imo

I have gone against you in 2 of the races!

13.10 - Double espresso, -Although he was pulled up on his first start for Paul Nicholls at Newcastle in November last year but now eased in both trip and class,

Also the 2.40 looks like an intriguing race- I have gone for Darlan but Jump city looks very intresting runner! Witg big bazzer on board instead of AP, this horse is unbeaten!I expect more to come from this son of Milan, he should the beating of these!

Rangitoto looks the one tomorrow, as everyone else has said!

It must be significant that Ruby comes over for the ride. Nothing else looks worth it so this must be the one. I should think they think a fair bit of him and conditions look ideal.

Its a fair enough card at Taunton today and I can see Mssrs Henderson and Nicholls having a jolly good day. I do wonder if Rangitoto will be good enough to hold off Mr Hendersons Master Fiddle, and whilst I am not betting today, I would not be surprised to see the two trainers share 4 wins between them.

Cyc, I quite like Tigre D'Aron, he ran in a good race last time out and whilst he never got into it, he did show enough to suggest that he would win a handicap in a lower sphere in time. He has questions to answer but I wouldn't be surprised to see him do so, also pre debut for Nicholls the trainer stated

"An interesting one who has needed a bit of time but is starting to come to himself now. I was trying to buy him after he finished second at Pau last December to Tonic Mellysse, who is now one of ours, but he ended up with Howard [Johnson] after Graham bought him. He won for them a few weeks later before getting turned over at Carlisle. Being a Dom Alco it may take us a while to work out his best trip, but he looks to have a very workable rating when going for handicap hurdles and runs at Cheltenham on Friday - 07/11/11"
