I suggested that to him on the old 606 but he was having none of it. We could just merge his articles into one massive(ly ****) thread.

Can you use your mod powers to move them to another board?

Nope they only apply to here. Well and the F1 board but we get enough trolls spamming them as well.

Relax, lads. Tash is just a random youth wanting attention. Let him have it.

I was his age, completely understandable. It's a public forum were debating and arguing are the main focus points.
    It's all about opinions.

Would be funny to see one huge thread with like 10000 replies all insulting tash... and the tags would be sensational. Then again, it would be too much to ask of you to find all of Tash's articles, he must make about 90% of them on this board.

Exactly. You can't ban him, or we'll be as bad as him.

Correct, we cant do that but he is now breaking rules I'd say, and he must have insulted and probably offended every poster on this board. All we can do now is ask him to go, enough is enough sometimes.

Forum without Tash = Less activity and threads but more intelligence, relaxation, calmness and quality in general posts and threads.
Forum with Tash = Witless threads and quantity over quality.

I was his age when I joined 606, and unless I'm mistaken I wasn't a tosser (someone will probably correct me on that). There are plenty of people younger than him on here who don't troll the boards, Leazes is the same age and he moderates it. Age doesn't come into it, he's just a dick.

Age can be an excuse, i know i was a bit of a twat at that age. We should understand that he has issues and either ignore him or help him.

Although the 'banter' is funny (i hate the word banter hence the '') he just can't take it, so ignore him.

There are grown adults threatening the lad. We're as bad as him - if not worse - if we continue to have a go at him.

But that's not to say age is the only excuse, but it can be part of it.

    I'm 19 and I hope I don't come across as a twat, I am sure I don't.

The problem is, the amount of articles which are made about Tash having a go at him, it doesn't surprise me that he has lashed out to be honest. As said, some people are just as bad as him, his comment crossed the line, but its not as if he wasn't provoked.

I am not sticking up for him, just seeing it from both sides.

True, but he gets all the stick because he is attention seeking, and his articles are just:
    a) knee jerk reactions
    b) irrelevant (Jonas and Carroll articles)
    c) awful, awful jokes

Maybe he's not a bad person, but I am certain that more than 50% of the people on this board have had it with him and we arent the first (terrorists??) and maybe it would be best for everyone if he went somewhere else. I can see other members being driven away soon.

Oh and you arent a twat ;)

Right, my first post so a big hello to everyone! I've followed and enjoyed the banter, enthusiasm and humour with everyone as I lurked on BBC's pale shadow of this superb forum and found not606 much to my liking the original link the first day of the BBC's bombshell announcement. Hey. Life moves on and sometimes it's to bigger and better things.

Anyhow. Purely because of my 'green' newbie status I feel I can comment on this post by a fellow new poster. It is not intended in any way a criticism when I say I wouldn't dream of asking another poster to go elsewhere.

I fully support everyone being free to air their opinion and in the case of RIP BT can take the extremes between clear compelling enthusiastic comment and random pointlessness though I may have been fortunate to miss the slur aimed at OT over the past day. I read as many posts on here I can and find I'm drawn here more and more - you fellas totally crack me up!

Who am I? Well I'm not RIP's relative before anyone asks!

TBH, I wish I had his commitment, energy and enthusiasm and whilst I've loved the toon forever and was born in Ashington I find myself stuck down here in Swansea - pretty much handy for nowhere unless the Swans' pull off a miracle in the next few months...

So maybe the RIP BT lynch mob could hold back on the tar and feathers?

Now that I've 'come out' (from lurk mode) I look forward to participating a damn site more than I have.

    All the best, Andrew

    Hi guys, I was away from the forum last night and up til about an hour ago so have only just caught up on what happened. Just want to add my comments for what they are worth;
a - Tash was totally out of order with his comment. Not just the act of a fool but also a coward. Saying something whilst hiding behind internet anonymity that he wouldn't dare say to a mans face. He should be ashamed of himself.
b - That loads of people abuse each other like this online or in jest to friends is no excuse. Anyone who says something like that about another mans wife is wrong, period. If others do it then they are wrong too and it does not justify you doing it. Become a man tash and do the right thing even if you are the only one who is doing it.
c - This forum is generally very friendly and populated by people who don't usually do this sort of thing. It is the reason i chose this forum to join. Lets keep it that way.
d - Finally. Tash has been a plonker but I believe in redemption. I say give him another chance and let him stay. If we don't like what he has got to say we tell him he is wrong and then ignore him until he grows up.

    Sorry for the long post!
