I have to say that my dealings with Scousers have been fine.I went to Anfield in 2005 and there was a lot of good humoured banter.Admittedly things went pretty much their way but I even had a friendly bearhug from one of them when we went three down.I think we should not condemn them all on the basis of one odd remark which from what I can see may not have been racist anyway.

Major double standards, they are the worst for getting on their high horse if they have any negative chants ,but don`t mind dishing it out to a 20 year old boy just because he`s black to somehow back up their racist player ... Twisted scouse logic........ Obviously most Liverpool fans are not to blame but when it was clear in the stadium that Tom was upset ,they made it very clear their intentions by chanting Suarez name....
After all the Barnes banana rubbish in the 80`s i hoped those days were behind us.... Not cool Liverpool...

Very bad timing for Fowler to dress up like Ritchie too..........<yikes>

I've only been to Anfield once, back in the 88/89 season when we beat them 1-0 thanks to Andy Townsend. Lot's memories from that day as it was my thirteenth birthday, I was riddled with chicken pox and covered in little bits of lint soaked in calomile lotion and oh, we had a police escort due to the idiotic scouse fans chucking bricks at our coach which smashed one of the windows.

Lovely, lovely people and of course the Hillsborough disaster had absolutely NOTHING to do with the thousands of their fans who turned up to the game and tried to get in without tickets. Never their fault, always somebody elses.

    Scum, the lot of them

If you had bothered to research the reasons behind Hillsborough and why it happened, this theory was dismissed by Lord Justice Taylor who was appointed to conduct the Taylor report.

So why don't you **** off you vile piece of scum. Why the **** have you brought Hillsborough into this anyway?!

I think Liverpool should be kicked out the cup to send out a strong message, cos all it will be is another poncy fine and it just isnt good enough. If strong action was made then it might make people think twice before they say it...

I'll Juet say hillsborough was a a whole other thing and a tragedy. No-one should die at the football FACT.

The Adeyemi thing Has riled me so much because he's such a young kid. Whole career ahead of him and shows such promise. He didn't deserve this at all and I hope whoever did it gets nailed. Racism has no par. In any form of society.

I was amazed by some of the things written on the Liverpool board about last night's incidents.

I don't think I read one post saying "if it's true then the fan should be banned".

They were all posts saying its an FA/Daily Mirror/Media/man united conspiracy against Liverpool - as was the Suarez case of course.

Like I said, it's always somebody elses fault, not their's.

Apologies by the way for bringing the '89 disaster into this, you are correct in saying there was no need to so I completely accept that I was in the wrong for using it as an example, and now obviously wish I hadn't so please accept my apologies for that.

I won't apologise for calling anyone involved in that incident last night scum however - and anybody who has the gall to try to defend it or fob it off as "just part of the game". Same goes for anyone wearing a t-shirt or scarf supporting Suarez at the moment - now that is what I call "vile" <ok>

Dave & I have discussed this thread as it was feared it would degrade in to an exchange of insults but for the time being we have chosen to let the thread remain open. However, should the thread take a downward spiral it will be closed.

Discuss the issue by all means but please do not resort to personal abuse and insults

Sid_Smooth_Munky_Canary - Thank you for making your apology regarding Hillsborough <applause>

It would appear that my comment re Sids posting has got the response i expected.
Thai, you praise Sid for apologising, the guy who has been arrested in Liverpool for the stupid remarks he made will also apologise, so that makes it right?
    I stick to my comment.

This at least is positive, and sounds as if the club(s) are working as hard as they can with the police to help cut this sort of thing out.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-16458267

But Tom sounds like a very level-headed, intelligent lad, and although he was obviously very hurt by the incident, I´m sure with support from our club and from Oldham he´ll come through it.

One of the fouler traits of society, I´m afraid.

I had no prior knowledge of anything he may or may not have done in the real world, nor do I particularly wish to know via a 3rd party and as far as I am concerned is not pertinant to this discussion.

I applauded him because he was big enough to make the apology in the first place, something I like to see but do not see often enough, although of course it would have been far wiser had he not mentioned it in the first place, something else he has acknowledged.

No one is perfect and I find more so on forums such as this where people seek a response (which you got) which also makes you not better than anyone else that seeks the same kind of response.

You know I have no issue with you Monarch and indeed I am happy to have you comment occasionally on this board but please do not get personal.
