... To be a city fan! We have to be the most frustrating team to support ever! Why cannot we be a club with success or drive? Just annoys the hell of out me. We have been knocked out of lower league oppsition four times in the space of 2 seasons! Carlisle, Southend and this season, Swindon and Crawley! Before you say anything about them being top of the basement league, we should be p*****g over teams like these! If we want to attract new fans, attract quality players, build this stadium etc. Then we need success! For the moment, I don't see none of that! too many times now in my life time that city have let me down and I'm only in my late teens! How do you old folks cope? I'm tearing my hair out here..

Agreed- however the standard of football at the gate appears to be pretty awful as a general rule - focusing on staying in the NPC needs to be the main focus

Seen it all before Lewman, although this is a bad run we are on against lower opposition, still no worries, lets move onto Brighton next week & get three points there.

Let's be honest with ourselves and admit that we have a squad that couldn't punch their way out of a wet paper bag. They clearly have no pride in the profession that pays them very well and they constantly put in their shift with total lack of commitment and effort.

Hopefully some of them will soon be moving on to a new place where they can continue to insult the paying public repeatedly. How dare they consider their performances to be acceptable and continue to take money under false pretences.

I hope that Derek has the stomach for the blood curling cull that is required at Ashton Gate to allow us to lick our wounds from yet another embarassment. Absolutely unacceptable because there are no redeeming factors about anything this bunch do.

Good luck Derek from me, and I'm sure most other City diehards will wish you the same. This is no longer a joke and something has to happen now or sooner.

Hopefully Derek will see that the honest truth is our players just aren't good enough!

We need Maynard to get on now, he simply isn't interested and we don't score anything like enough goals throughout the side.

I read with amazement how '"hard Maynard works" up front, I cant see that myself I reckon he's a lazy bastard.

Well said banksy. A very poor excuse for professional footballers and I think you could go up to the Downs and pick players that would at least try harder.

I fear for our future if this lot hang around much longer - get rid.

We miss the team spirit that got us to the playoff finals. There are too many players not putting any effort in or thinking they are better than the club or could earn more money else where.
I am disappointed with maynard given his injury last season but i understand his reasons to leave as he wants to and is good enough to play top flight football. I am also then disappointed in pitman against millwall who was given his chance back in the team and just didn't look interested or fit so can't see him being maynards replacement if he can't be bothered

Must've watched a different game to me tbh.. I thought Pitman's movement and effort put Nicky to shame against Millwall, he was the only one out of the front two harrying defenders and trying to make things happen. Also, when Pitman went off we went to pieces in an attacking sense as Pitman was the link man winning balls in the air and bringing others into play. Thought Maynard was dire for the majority but then he scored the winning goal so hey ho all is forgiven...

Let's get one thing straight, Maynard ain't all that in the context of the Premiership. Saying that, playing in a better squad might lift his game.
