while i was on oddschecker viewing the update on the odds for our next manager, i noticed there is another special on what club maynards will be playing end of jan transfer window. suprised city wasnt in the list. seems the bookies are sure he will be gone in this window and not walk away for free in the summer.

here are the clubs and odds - http://www.oddschecker.com/football...d-specials/club-after-january-transfer-window

    Fulham 8/11
    Wolves 7/4
    QPR 7/1
    Leicester 8/1
    Southampton 12/1
    Aston Villa 16/1
    Newcastle 16/1

    what do you think?

QPR will be the only team there where he'll manage to start games, he'll be in the bench at the others

    QPR most likely team

With Ba scoring and Newcastle high up the table I can't see them bringing in new players and changing things.

I think Fulham will only make an offer if they sell players as Zamora, Johnson and Duff who are all linked with moves away from the club so if they go then it will free up space for new strikers which Nicky would fit.

Can't see Villa signing but Bent has been linked with Liverpool so there is an off chance they could be interested.

As for Wolves they have had injury issues with their strikers so there is a chance.

QPR, if they are interested in bringing in new players, would go for someone more well known and likely who plays abroad to make a statement of their money.

Everton would be a outside shout depending if they can afford the money up front or will they try and get Nicky like they did with Beckford from Leeds?

Southampton aren't a prem team but think they are nearly guarenteed to be there next season so who knows.

Fulham if Zamora and Johnson leave, maybe Newcastle although they have some young strikers to come in when Ba leaves. There was also talk of Swansea, which would be a good move for him. I just hope there is more than 1 club after him so we can get a bit of a bidding war going...

I didnt realise you rated Maynard so high!

Ba has scored 15 premier league goals all season and Maynard has scored 8 in a much easier league!

No way he is half the player Ba is!

demba ba.....no that's a striker, at the moment id say hes the 3rd best in England behind van persie and aguero, the free kick he scored the other week was absolutely amazing, never have i seen a ball rocketed into the top of the net like he hit it.

personally i think maynard will go to, wolves or QPR only for both to get relegated. he wont find happiness like hes got it here, but he wont know what he had until its gone

I think in fairness to Maynard he needs to be judged when he is in a better quality side.

part of me wants southampton to go up as i would like to see lambert have a chance in the prem. the other half of me would love to see them fail flat on their ass and miss out on a top 6 finish just due to their arrogance alone! :)

Our pleasure, in fact you were so brilliant and scintillating that you deserved 12 points! How we're top and you're, erm, wherever is as unbelievable as Andy D'Urso's refereeing.

Fully expect you to make up the 18 places and 20 points differential within the next 7 games. <ok>
