What a good bit of news it is to know the Bison is having a run out with the reserves on Monday! If our performances, this year have looked dodgier than usual at the back, his absence in my opinion has been a big part of the reason! Lets hope he comes out looking like he's never been away! I , for one , will be tuning in on CTV for this long awaited return!

Excellent News. Should play Essien against Portsmouth in the FA Cup.

We'd be even further down the table with Essien in the team, good to see him back though and lets hope he returns as something like the essien of 3 years ago, if not then hope he still looks good so we can get a decent price for him

I dont think that is possible Mata! He's coming out in the reserves on Monday as part of his getting match fit routine!

Great news. Although without a pre season under his belt I don't think he'll be what he was but can't be much worse than Mikel eh?

Was thinking that earlier, at least if he stays fit were get rid of Mikel, and if his just like last season then he won't be very good but it's still better than that **** Mikel lol...

Ha! To be honest, most English players are shocking. We seem extremely lucky with the English we have.

Wish we'd have bought Scotty Parker back before the Spuds :(

Hmm, not a big fan of players returning to clubs. Not sure it would have played out as well, but if it would have then I agree.

Well if anything to have prevented how well he's played for them! £5m, got to be one of the signings of the season as without him I don't think they'd be as good!

Scott Parker, for whatever he's done since , never looked happy here and never showed class on the pitch! I dont know why, but I sure wished he could have delivered for us what he's delivering for the Spuds!

Playing would have been a start!!

Remember he was pretty much a bench warmer cos of the legend that is Maka.

I take it he hasn't been picked for Ghana? You lot would go mental if he was :D

Top player though when fit but he's really been unlucky with injuries, hasn't he.

Almost too many injuries really...quality on his day, but the last couple of seasons have always been in recovery...enthusiasm still there but a bit off the mark for me.

He's only having his first run out after a very long absence,in the reserves on Monday! He's likely to be some way off reappearing in the first team for us, so I cant see him being ready for the ACON.
