He shouldn't have said what he said it's wrong. but at the same time if every time he posts an article people keep insulting him and taking the piss i think it's fairly obvious that at some point he would just snap and say something over the line.

This is all really sad, I mean Tash drops himself in it but there has been a proper OTT reaction here, threatening to batter eachother and that, its just pathetic really. At the end of the day we're all sat behind our keyboard and words are just words and anyone who spends all day on a football forum isn't to be feared anyway in my opinion

 

Maybe something you say to your mates, but on here most of the people you talk to are people you have never met. But one day could!!!
I fully agree with OT's reaction, people can say anything they like to me. I can take it and defend myself, but anyone says ANYTHING about my wife or kids and I'll take their head and have hit a work colleague in the past.

Try and keep it inmind Tash that this forum has people of varying ages from what looks like 16 - 40 year olds and maybe old. You and your mates might find calling your mothers funny, but everyone else might not.

You type things out on here so have plenty of time to think about what you are saying, it's not like you are blurting something out in the pub.

Befor you post try reading what you've typed, you might find if you read it through and think you might not go offending people.

Me personally I'd have banned you for that comment.

OT, i am fully on your side here mate! Just wanna clarify something to see if we are on the same wavelength.

You on the internet, someone makes a personal attack (on you), doesnt matter, get them better. Think we've established your good with that.

Your on the internet, someone makes an attack on your family, too far, way too far. As you, that's how i feel.

Tash's defence has been 'I've had mates say that about me all the time.', key word here Tash, mates. If I'm down the pub and one of my mates makes a quip about shagging my mam, I'll go back at him with a better one! Banter between friends. If a stranger says it, I'll take offence. Regardless of how long I've been on here, you are a stranger. So i would take offence!

There are some on here that i feel are decent people, so if a couple of people said something like that now, i wouldn't be too bothered. But the problem with you Tash, is no-one can tell what your like. Yes, you could have been saying it as a 'over a pint' jokingly style, but you are equally (if not more) likely to have typed it in a blind rage meaning every word!

Another thing, not about me more about OT. He aint in his teen's/early 20's. He hasn't been brought up around this culture, it arrived when he was already grown up (sorry for making you sound old mate!). Say it to a younger poster and they wouldn't care as much. Know your target audience in short.

Am I the only one missing the point here? If someone on here said to me "your ma's a slag" or "your bird's a dog" it would be water off a ducks back. I don't know any of you, if one of my mates said it they get a slap but you are all strangers. I think personal insults are a bit pathetic mind you, we may disagree and rib eachother now and then but personal attacks are a bit sad, not that they should provoke the kind of response we've seen her though! Too much drama! It's like an online version of Hollyoaks on here sometimes, without the fit birds.

 

Spot on mate, I think OT has said he is 36. So am I and don't find the calling your mother stuff overly offensive but it's not my thing either. Couple of my mates do it to each other but they have known each other since school, and never bother saying it to me.

Each to there own, but on here there are limits cause very few of us have actually met one another. And if the day comes for a meet up, it could turn nasty
