I watched the mags game live. They totally bossed the match from the first minute and deserved their victory. That I think most people will agree with.

However, I've just watched MotD and they managed to make it look like a fairly even contest. For anyone who didnt see the game they will think it was a case of smash and grab.

I've noticed this about MotD fior some time and to be honest, I often dont bother to tune in these days. Football First is so much better and makes MotD irrelevant imo.

Just wondered if anyone else is of the same opinion about the mashed up highlights programme?

I very rarely watch it these days, if we have 10 shots and the op has 6 shots, it will show 2 shots for us and all 6 of those, and it will look like they had the best of the play. I would be sitting there shouting, huh where the hell is that chance, this chance etc etc.

    just dont bother tbh.

they're always biased towards the 'bigger' teams, and make it look as if they were unlucky or it was a fairly even contest

tbf to newcastle, they practically raped man utd, admittedly man utd were sloppy and poor, but Newcastle played well

Definitely some bias, they spent longer talking about Man Utd than they did with the actual highlights <laugh> But I'm not bothered, I saw the goals again and I'm happy so **** it <diva>

Just saw your highlights too. Some crackers there <ok>

On a side note. How much of a knobhead did Steven Taylor look on sky last night, he looked like a spare prick at a wedding with his horrible suit and weird waistcoat.

I watch MotD all the time because my little lad loves to watch it (and I don't have Sky Sports so it really is the only chance he gets to watch the footy and he loves football)

Even he said this morning (he gets up early the day after MOTD and watches it with me before his Mam gets up) "Newcastle were better than that weren't they Dad? - and he's 7 years old!!

The Beeb do not want to fall out with SAF again - simples!!!

    Bart

PS - the CRAAS were excellent last night. Man City will pi$$ the league this year and the Spuds might even get 2nd.

Sky are just as bad in terms of bias but yes I agree with the OP, MOTD always make a hash of their highlights.

I often miss MotD (especially if we lose) but a site like Yahoo! Sport is excellent for the highlights.

As for MotD, if QPR and Norwich play a 7 - 7 draw with six sendings off and four penalties, they'd still put Man Utd playing Chelsea in a boring 0 - 0 where somebody hit the post as their main game.
