Scouting around the various fans forums, I haven't seen anyone say that they are going to the fan's evening at Kings Langley. It will be a great shame if it passes by without any reports about what was said.

Why do the BBC need to cover news and weather in such detail for some of the most remote places, and shut down their UK services? After all who finances their operations and why don't we have a say in what they do?

You could ask the same question of a number of football club owners Brag. :(

Ditto for politicians! Was amazed the other day to find out that, whilst slashing the Education budget and causing school 'front line' staff to lose their jobs, they're using our money to fund schools in Pakistan. Madness.

Hope you weren't including Northern Scotland as one of those remote places <laugh>

Evening theo - Thursday night/very quiet - traditionally so in pubs. Were you around when Benskins & WFC had their Thursday free pint deal?

    Evening BB.

Worked in a Southend pub when I was 17 and sometimes served no-one at all on a Thursday night. Good for reading and crosswords though!

How long ago was the Benskins free pint deal. Been going to the Victoria in Bushey since about 1983 but not sure I remember that in its Benskins days. They did have good guest beers though...Blackadder and Old Growler for example.

Evening theo, just about my bedtime. I have a vague notion of which time zone I am in today.

Crossing over sites can make you forget what you said to whom and where. :(

I remember the free pint nights.......of course I was too young to enjoy them.;)

    Bon nuit, Frenchie.

Free pint night sounds an excellent idea. Free gallon of petrol morning, free steak and chips midday and free afternoon football might catch on too!

Just popped back from the far field to have the coffee. Lovely morning here, but into concreting today which might take the edge off things. :(

No Sandy, it not a new east stand, it just feels like it. :(

I have a longish walk to get to the far field, so I wanted somewhere down there to store things like chain saws etc. While I thought a small garden shed would do, Mme thought that a much larger summer house type thing would be better.

Still maybe I could convert the scoreboard into a large screen TV and set that up down there. ;)

Sounds like your shed/summer house will be up much quicker than the East Stand though. <doh>

Why is it when the Mrs/Mme gets involved it always becomes a much grander design and double the timescale?

Good luck with the scoreboard conversion, wouldn't it be great to watch a match and see the players on the screen in life size!! :)

shame you can only attach 5 files within a post. So looks like ak may have to restrict breakfast orders to drinks only
