A lot of people dismiss Dowie but he got Palace into the Prem he took them from 19th in the table into the play offs winning 17 out of 23 games after taking over in December 2003, his win percentage isn't much different to that of Johnson's or O'Driscoll's.
Poor Dowie. Least in real life Sloth looked a little bit better. please log in to view this image John Matuszak
Yeah I would have a warm feeling about Dowie. At least the dressing room would not argue with the ugly F***ker because he might eat them
Yeah I wouldn't turn him down as manager he seems like ok guy but surely he must be on more money on sky sports then he would get at Rovers.
maybe he is for money and wants back in the job. been out a while so may want a new challenge with a team who could and should be doing well in our league with the budget we got. should be one of the easier jobs in our league!
Well I don't envy Higgs and co I wouldn't want to be in there shoes right now choosing a new manager they have to get it right this time surely. Anyway my choice would be from Sean O'Driscoll, Ian Dowie or Peter Reid.
I like the look of Peter Reid as Director of Football with Andy Tillson as First Team coach. However if we don't go down that route again then it should be Peter Reid.
Been thinking about Keith Curle with Tillson as assistant: -Bristolian -ex-player with Rovers (and City) -played at top level - Man.City -ex-defender...we need defence sorted -lower league managerial experience with Mansfield, Chester and TORQUAY -coaching experience with QPR in Championship and Premier League Tillson has his coaching experience with Team Bath and Exeter Worth thinking about ?
tillson will need compo paid to exeter. i doubt we will get someone who needs compo paid to get them.
chris i hope you get reidy, i have been tipping him since ridsdale and the adminstrator brendon guilfoyle sacked him. and much good it did plymouth getting rid. i suspect it was the cost of his wages that caused him to be sacked. any way good luck, anyone except gary johnson.
excuse the invasion, the last n/ireland manager laurie sanchez now manages barnet and the latest n/ireland manager is probably looking for club management having recently left his post and may have applied for the gas job. ian worthington, i think he has managed norwich city previously.
Well one things for sure! We are going to get an experienced head. That inevitably means that our next man will have failed elsewhere first.
gj seems to have failed everywhere. beware too much experience. micky adams must be unhappy at vale having no money to spend this month. adams, reid, simpson, peters. perm any one from 4 oh and worthington, even the name gives one a thirst, excuse the invasion
