Stats don't mean owt. Barcelona have a great passing stats but the passing isn't penetrative. They don't make deep passes and hollywood passes just passing across the back 4 maybe up to midfield then back ect/

well i completely disagree with what you are saying about barcelona, there passing game is excellent, the best in the world and very penetrative. Dont really know what your trying to prove.
And to an extent i agree with Best Fans. Im much happier with the performance and dominating the game however clear cut chances were not created. We had no one-on-ones and we had no free headers. There was no point during the game you'd say he has to score here.
But that doesnt take away from a deserved 3 points i feel although left late a bit (if anything though i'd say burnley got lucky to get there goal, came out of nowhere)
we were playing the league's form team,who had conceded only 2 goals in there previous 6 games.
when fans travel to Leeds,expect to see Leeds.we ain't Barcelona.
im pretty sure that wasn't the point he was trying to make though. it really has no relevance to anything to do with leeds.
As i said in previous post, it was a deserved 3 points but you cannot come back and say that was a perfect game, our final ball was horrible and finishing was non-existant
Whilst the recent performance of Leeds has been crap we still have to look at other teams who are also playing crap according to their fans.
The top 4 teams have in fact pulled away from the bunch and have left positions 5 and 6 up for grabs between the chasing 7 or 8 teams.
The projected season end totals based on current points per game x 46 is as follows.
1 SOUT 86
2 WHAM 86
3 MIDD 83
4 CARD 83
5 HULL 72
6 READ 72
7 BLAC 70
8 LEED 70
9 DERB 68
10 BIRM 68
11 CRYS 66

The projected totals for 5th and 6th are well below past seasons avaerages. It could be that around 70/72 points would get a playoff spot.
BUT given the performances of the top 4 who would fancy any progression in the playoffs.
Bates will decide this years fate and I think he will fail to support the promotion bid.
I am not sure about the players support for SG and that will be the end of any slight hope we had for this year.

I would not rule out Leicester making a late charge either, will Bates support Grayson - I guess he feels or will say that he has with the £500k purchase of Pugh.
I've been watching Leeds for over 30 years josh and never seen a perfect game yet,that is the point i was making,we had 16 shots,6 on target and scored 2.This was better than west ham,Brighton,and Hull managed who were all beaten by Burnley at home recently.Burnley have a very good defence,which is why they had previously only conceded 2 goals in their previous 6 games.I think our shots was more than respectable and maybe those of you that think different expect too much,like i said,when you go to see Leeds,don't be surprised when you see a Championship club.If you expect the perfect Barcelona type display i fear you will always leave disappointed.
You missed out an important we were at home playing against 10 men statistic.
West ham,Brighton,and Hull were also all at home against Burnley.Plenty of teams don't beat 10 men,ask Bristol Rovers.and they had 10 men because they couldn't handle our players speed [Andros].
But if you don't want to count 10 man games,we should have a few point coming back from boro and b/pool.and Ipswich.where would 6 extra points put us.
It has every relevence. Ristac was saying the stats before the sending off were worse than after and I replied stats don't mean owt and anyone at the game could see we was controlling the game pre sending off. Barcelona was my example and if you watch Barcelona (on sky sports) you'll see they either pass with no penetration or get Messi to dance through the defenders and score. Although this is a rough rule they're are exceptions.
Im agreeing with you about leeds, i do not agree that barcelona's passing has no penetration. they are in my opinion the best passing team in the world and they do not rely on messi either.
And lifecheshirewhite, i agree with you that we were controlling the game and deserved the win. It wasn't a perfect display but it was a deserved 3 points. I have said this, i cant agree with you more
