Torres is quality. He needs a good run in the team and for the team to be built around him. He'll flourish when Drogba goes as he won't have the spectre of Drogba looming over him.
Disagree, far from quality for the past two seasons. He had an amazing season with Liverpool but I failed to see any of that since then. I do hope you're right though.
LFC fan in peace. I have to say your patience with Torres is amicable. By contrast us lfc fans are slowly starting to wonder whether the goals will ever come with Carroll. We're hoping Gerrards return will help him. Maybe its because you gave seen him find the net before... Either way its all good and I hope he does find form for you. As long as it doesn't affect us.
Cheers mate, and for me personally i will always have patience with Torres because i honestly don't think it's his fault. The press crucify him, opposing fans crucify him, even some of our fans crucify him. I've been honest and criticized him when his been poor but it's honestly not his fault why he isn't scoring, his gone from playing in a liverpool team which were based all around him where every ball was being played into him and he had a lot of great creative players around him ( mainly gerrard ) whereas before today he was having to playin a 4-3-3 formation and to be honest our team is quite selfish but it's because their use to it, with drogba everyones use to just powering their way through and shooting themselves for example malouda, drogba, lampard and even sturridge at times, their mindset if they get the ball in a good position is shoot not to pass. Mata is the key but his playing in the wrong role because he can't put killer balls into torres playing on the left hence why he should play behind two strikers ( torres and sturridge ). Now with everyone on his back and him having to play in a 4-3-3 his still done great, maybe not on the goal front but performance wise, i can only think of 3 games where his played poor. His always giving 100% effort though which can't be said for Drogba, if you look at the game today he was creating chance after chance and our lack of creativity is that bad his having to create chances. Hopefully in future though it will be Mata behind Torres n Sturridge and then i expect him to shine, he will always have my support because it's not his fault, to sum it up his reguarly being played in wrong positions yet still performs great and puts in maximum effort
And with regards to Carroll judging by the other night Gerrard is the key to unlocking him and he should be able to get some goals now, to be honest though i've never been overly keen on him as i read he drinks quite a bit and his only really been top-notch in the championship, but the bonus you have is his still young and still has loads of time left!
Nando is back.. still hate the 50 mil pressure put on him by Roman.. Seriously - even a draw/loss wouldn't have made me sad today.. you know what - this team looks like a team with Josh, Lukaku and sans Drog, Malouda.. Guess time to change my signature but would wait until the confirmation that Drog is shipped..
Once again the excellent Drogs has hit the spot. Once our midfield is sorted and settled, then we can judge our strikers. For what it's worth, I thought Torres was terrific tonight. He'll score plenty with a run of starts. Still think Mata should be just in behind and Lamps should not start. Not that he had a bad game tonight, but he doesn't offer enough speed of pass for mine. Still it was 5th against 15th ,so rotation has to be used to keep people fresh, so fair do's. Nit picking or not, why does AVB take off our best attacker when we desperately need a second goal ?? When will he realise at 1-0 up in the PL. there are 2 things you don't do ? 1. Shut up shop. 2. Take off the bloke most likely to make it 2-0, especially with only 10 mins to go.
