I would like to see the following formation and line-up on Saturday...we had a glimpse of it against Bolton, but i'd like to see if it would work with 11 players.

-------------Harper-------------

-----Taylor---Willo----Colo------

Simpson------------------Enrique

-------------Tiote---------------

------Ireland--------Nolan--------

--------Best-------Lover---------

What do you think?

If we are going to play with 5 at the back i'd go for

--------------- Harper-----------
------- Tayls - Willow - Colo------
Simmo ---------------------- Jose
---------- Tiote --- Nolan--------
--- Ireland -------------- Jonas--
----------------Best-------------

I think having more in midfield will work better as they can both cover the full backs, and attack. And with Ireland and Nolan in there you can always add one of them to the attack to make it as good as 2 up front.

Simpson doesn't give us enough down the right either. Perfectly fine given the circumstances but not planned. If we were feeling crazy we could put Jonas there Maradona style...

I disagree, he gets up and down the line and has put in some amazing crosses this season! For example Ameobi's second vs the unwashed and I remember a few others recently.

If Ireland is available I think we'll go 4-4-2, but if not, I'd like to see a 5-3-2 (would mean putting Jonas in CM though).

I agree, he does stirling work as a full back, but he isn't anywhere near the quality needed to be the sole attacking force down the right hand side, whereas Jose is perfect for it on the left.

on a side note...when is pardews press conference so we can get the heads up on players available/not available for saturday
