What I predict with Bluesheep, and what I actually expect are often not the same. I predicted a 1-1 draw today because it is reasonably safe, it did not stop me being relegated though……I don`t mind because there is clearly some talent down there….often misunderstood, but there never the less. I think Reading will score today, maybe even two, and 2-2 or 2-1 to us is likely me thinks. As far as the prediction league goes, interestingly some predict 3-0 scorelines and even 4-3`s etc., which are generally hugely unlikely, and maybe should attract a higher score for the degree of difficulty so to speak. Fantastic if it comes off though, as you would be the only correct result normally. TEAM NEWS (Courtesy Of BBC) Reading boss Brian McDermott is unlikely to make any changes for his side's trip to Cardiff. If the Royals boss does make changes, he may strengthen his defence by promoting the experienced Ian Harte from the substitute bench. Cardiff may be boosted by the return of defender Kevin McNaughton who limped off in the Boxing Day draw at Watford. Rudy Gestede, Kenny Miller, who has eight goals this season, and Joe Mason may form a three-man attack. MATCH FACTS Head-to-head • This is the 50th league meeting. Reading have won 18 of the previous 49, Cardiff 16, with 15 all-square. • Cardiff are unbeaten in seven regular league clashes with the Royals (W2, D5), and are hoping to complete a first double over them in 12 years. • The Berkshire club ended Cardiff's promotion hopes last season with a 3-0 aggregate victory in the Championship play-off semi-finals, but have not won a regular league match against them since the title winning season of 2005/06 when they did the double and twice placed five goals in the Bluebirds' net. Cardiff City • Cardiff gained their first win in four games, away to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and have lost only one of their last 14 in league and cup. • They are hunting an eighth home league victory of the season. The loss to Middlesbrough in their last game at the Cardiff City Stadium was only their second home reverse of this campaign. • Bristol City beat Cardiff on New Years Day 2011, to start the year with maximum points for the first time in five occasions. Reading • Reading are bidding for a fifth successive league win, and are joint top of the Championship's "current form" table. • All four of Reading's away league defeats have been by a 0-1 score. They have let in fewer goals away from home than any other club in the Championship; just nine • The Royals are hoping to avoid entering a new year for the third time running, with defeat away from home.

Interesting midfield selection. How much of that is rotating the squad given all the games we've got in January and how much is enforced. What's the news on Kiss, he seems to have been absent for a while.
Hey Dom, how's things. Thought I was talking to myself. I put it down as 2-1 to us. Happy for it to be 5-0, don't want to be chewing my nails for half an hour. After the first 10 mins it's been all us. Mason and Ralls seem to be quite spreightly.
Coming up to half time pal, 3-0 who give`s a f***** about predictions at this time......give us six please!
Okay so they scored....lucky goal! 6 0-0 scores in the Championship at half time.....what`s going on....to much celebration me thinks!
Results are looking favourable for us Dom. Need to shut up shop for the forst 15 mins of the second half. If we can force them to take risks, we can get another goal or two on the break the way our midfield is playing.
That`ll do, results went our way, two points off top, shame that Coventry failed again. Swansea win, good for Wales!
7 points above 7th and 2 points off top. Interesting to see what team is put out for the FA cup game. Need to rest a few up for the league and carling cup. Mustn't slipp up against Donny after this win.
I wasn't expecting to be in this position again. Fantastic effort by Malky and the squad. Agree with you remote. We need to give a rest to some, and if we go out of the cup at The Hawthorns, I won't shed any tears. Our focus for the next fortnight had to be on our visit to the Keepmoat where Deano is making a difference. It'll be interesting to see if Sharp and Hayter are still there by the time we play them. Anyway - well done city.
Cheers cracker, and happy new year to you. Great wins for both South Wales clubs today. John Lee Hooker once played baseball with a wordworm riddled bat........ Holy bat, bluesman. Now where did I put my coat?
I'll say the same thing about Cardiff as I said about our team clingo " Give me a great manager with a good team rather than good manager with a great team " Hope you have the best of years !!
Just got home from work and just saw the table, some big games today went our way. I predicted a 2-0 home win but not too disappointed the lads hit 3 with 1 in reply.... Hmm... I take that as a 2-0 win Great to see the lads get some payback for last years play off defeat. So a great start to the new year and here's to more success
