Benoit Assou-Ekotto?there seems to be a bit of a shortage of quality left backs
He's good,not great though.
Cole??Don't make me laugh.Weak link in the Spurs team for me. What about Cole, Chiellini, Abidal, Marcelo?

the fact that you'd put him forward as one of the best left backs in the world proves my pointBenoit Assou-Ekotto?
Yes,but he still needs to improve certain aspects of his game.Good enough for the Argentina team and, if rumours are to be believed, Alex Ferguson.
There is, but I still wouldn't say that BAS is the best in the world. Not even the best in the PL. (That would probably be Enrique for me, although it is hard to judge defenders, especially fullbacks, unless you're watching them closely week-in, week-out).
That's my opinion, for other people it's different. There is, but I still wouldn't say that BAS is the best in the world. Not even the best in the PL. Better than A Cole.
i'm not sure, definitely not when cole was in his prime
Not gonna do a top 15 list (You can't compare positions) so I'll do 22 by position...
Keepers: Casillas, Neuer
Fullbacks: Lahm, Ramos, Chiellini (mainly a CB but shut up), Alves
Centrebacks: Vidic, Pique, Thiago Silva, Kompany
Midfield (too many types of midfielder to split this up): Xavi, Iniesta, Modric, Ozil, Silva, Pastore, Gotze, Yaya Toure
Forwards: Messi, Ronaldo, Zlatan, Aguero
Yeah I know who he is,I'm a bit confused on why he chose him.ibrahimovic
