Out of town
I am looking at 4.1 down at halftime against Crewe. Lost to Plymouth when 2.0 up. This disasterous form cannot be allowed to continue. We are halfway through the season. What must be done to save what remains of this season?

wow, buckle has actually decided to make early subs. all 3 in fact!

bevan off and cronin on
anthony off and brown on
anyinsah off and mcgliesh on

then we score an early 2nd half goal.

att 5037 appatently. doubt there will be that many there now though.

if thee cassn't beat barnet, ebbsfleet are beckoning with 2 fingers, ooh me sides. i quite like mr buckle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I do not think rovers will go down but! But you have reached the point which we reached with Millen when he was sacked! It will be interesting to see if higgs acts but judging by the fact he has declined an interview and that Buckle is now going on about the tranfer window suggests he may still have a while to go!

We dont know how long and under what conditions his contract was agreed. It always seems a little odd that in the football world there never seems to be a get out clause for failure!

excuse the invasion, but things are precarious. i suspect if higgs gets rid, some of the squad may have to go to pay off buckle but you will have a leaner happier squad. whatever happens keep matty h as he is your insurance for survival

here is a comment i made not so long ago about how much in total we have won in prize money alone from the fa. gate receipts and other revenue needs to be added as well.

1st round vs corby. win = £5000 prize money. http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFATrophy/FATrophyPages/FATrophyPrizeFund200809

2nd round vs totton. being live on tv = £72,000 and winning that game a further £27,000 as won on live tv. http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFACup/NewsAndFeatures/2011/tv-fixtures-151111

3rd round vs villa. being live on tv = £123,500. and as were on live tv, if we win that game, we will get a further £67,500. http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFACup/NewsAndFeatures/2011/3rp-tv-ties-071211

so already we have won £227,500. if we beat villa, we will get a further £67,500 for beating them on tv. a potential £295,000 plus money for being in round 4 :)

obviously beating villa will be very hard of course and i doubt we will win. but if we lose we will still net a minimum of £227,000.

There's always hope Jack. They have lost their goalkeeper, midfielder and centre forward. Perhaps Mr Buckle can wag his siiver tongue and persuade them to play with eight men.

Not even an official match report on the official website, they are usually really quick to put something up whether it be good or bad. Can we hope to have other news?

higgs turned down radio bristols request for an interview after the game due having to leave for family commitments. would of been less than 5 minutes of his time which wouldnt of made him late for any commitments. his family obviously knows he runs the club and all he had to do was to explain to his family he had to do a radio interview as all hell is breaking loose at the club. his family would of understood if he was a few mins late. obviously he dont want to go on air to his paying public, the fans his club, and discuss the on-going calamities at the mem. he is obviously avoiding the subject of the buckle out calls.

either he cant be bothered to deal with us or he dont want to come out and lie by saying he is backing buckle but then goes and sacks him. he may want to sack him 1st!

Filtongas whoever is in charge of the official website hasn't been doing too great a job. I registered for the forum on Boxing Day and I'm still not allowed to post on a thread or start one myself. If the people in charge can update the site with new reports & interviews then surely I could get validated.

What worries me most about our current situation is the continuing insistence from The Poisonous One that we're not far off the performances that willlead us to getting the results which will pull us out of our predicament. Which performances is he alluding to when making such a statement - the squandering of a 2 - 0 lead against Plymouth, losing 4 - 1 away to Gillingham or does he feel this latest debacle provides enough evidence that we're going in the right direction?

Whilst many on here criticise Trollope for his spell without Lawrence by his side please remember Higgs slashed the playing budget. I believe it was that decision rather than the one to not renew Lenny's contract that has led us to where we are now. I know for a fact that Cheltenham Town are more than grateful for Steve Elliott.
