Agree with most of what youve said mate, defo dont think there was anything in the sideshow bob incident at all. However I wudnt exactly describe what Cabaye did as sticking his foot out, he jumped into the tackle two feet off the floor (wasnt a 2footed tackle tho) and it looked more like a stamp to me.

As you mentioned tho Spearing was flying into the tackle which a few years ago wudov been applauded as comitted to the cause and got the crowd going but these days is borderline outlawed e.g. Rodwell on Suarez.

The ref seen the incident, waved it away then called it back when he seen spearing on the deck. Not alot the fa can do. If the ref misses it completely then the fa can step in ala Williamson against Bolton last season. Colo's is a none starter, an accident. No intent there.

Aye dont agree with the rules but this is the case unfortunately. Milijas makes a good tackle, gets sent off and doesnt get rescinded coz the ref saw it. Cabaye makes a very very poor tackle, gets away with it and it wont be punished in hindsight again coz the ref saw it. Seems a bit harsh but until the rules change this will always be the case.

Just out of interest does anyone know the exact procedure re: appealing a red card and receiving extra games on the ban. Seem to recall Turner getting sent off and having his ban extended for a few games and then in other cases this hasnt occurred?

I didn't see the game at all but I'd have sent them both off as well.

It's called discrimination...And the football authorities certainly show it with certain clubs getting away with murder...

"Turner claimed that the standard punishment is clearly excessive, but this was rejected by the commission and the defender will now receive a four-match ban – increased by one game as the commission felt the claim had no prospect of success – starting with immediate effect," read a statement from the FA.

Wasn't much movement towards Spearing from Cabaye to be honest. I've done it and had it done to me. You hold your studs out to protect yourself but know full well the force of their tackle will result in a nasty blow for them. People do the same when folk are clearing the ball. Stick there studs where their follow thru will be and you usually end up with a swollen or broken foot. As I say regardless of what Spearings intentions are you can't do what Cabaye did. If it goes wrong you can break a leg. Certainly not Cabayes intention but not something he could fully control either.

Colo definately did that intentionally! Otherwise Bellamy wouldn't have needed the stitches. Wasn't like he just stuck an arm out was it! Jeeeeze had ba been elbowed like that off henderson would you be saying the same ? Get real. Also tiote could easily have been sent off as well! He managed a food old elbow on Henderson and made a few bokkable fouls! Mags get away with murder. Dirty team who also dive around!

Know what you mean in regards to when people are clearing the ball, had it done plenty to me. However that form of injury tends to occur as a result of the person clearing the ball and following though with their leg more then the other player forcefully going into the tackle, they tend to be more blocking then tackling. Also these tend to cause injury to the persons foot/laces area. Whereas the difference for me is Cabaye was definately going in forcefully, was jumping into the tackle and at impact was half way up Spearings shin/calf.

Cant really comment on intention as only Cabaye knows that in reality, think when people talk about intention it depends a lot on reputation. As previously said Scholes would do a shocking tackle and everyone would chuckle and say 'hahaha typical Scholes' and not much more would be done about it.

Whether Cabaye intended harm or not doesn't matter, it was dangerous and isn't usually tolerated these days. Elbows are often seen as dangerous again regardless of intent. Many players have been sent off for less than Cabayes challenge and Colo/Tiotes elbows and many players have got away with worse, thats life.

He was watching the ball. Not intentional in the slightest. It's not like Bellamy carries a 6 ft 2" frame into the challenge is it. If colo is looking up, he won't of seen him.

If I was that baby's father I would strike you!

Spearing is the ugliest little scrote in world football and I think part of the reason Cabaye made the challenge was because he was actually offended by Spearing's face.

I can't see that pic but will assume it's Luke Chadwick and Spearing is definitely uglier

Plus Chadwick has definitely had plastic surgery anyway

Looks more like Wes Brown there, saw that pic and figured it was someone else! In his prime he was spittin double of Dwayne Dibley off of Red Dwarf.

Yes he was an ugly character for sure. Can't blame him for the surgery to be honest, he got a massive amount of stick for something that wasn't his fault
