Thought this was interesting from Carl Curtis on the CCMB I have just had a text to say that Nat Jarvis has signed a 12 month extension to his contract at City and also that he will be going back out on loan to Newport County next week. Also being told that Jon Parkin will leave City permanently this January. And as being rumoured on here today I am also told that Earnie is being considered for a move away next month. Whether that is a loan or permanent I do not know but that is what the text said. This has not come from a regular source of mine but thought I would post it out of interest. Reading on here today that there are rumours about Earnie leaving, this does not surprise me as it is still my belief that Earnie was not Malky's signing. Earnie was on his way here before Malky was announced as manager. His wages alone would free up valuable funds to improve our 1st team because Earnie is not going to get a look in unless Malky changes formation and brings in a target man.
No surprises there TGI. With Taiwo and Parkin to go off the books completely plus Earnie, Jarvis and possibly some other younger players going out on loan, there will be a good pot of money freed up for Malky's 2 desired signings. However, if Malky sticks to what was in the press this week it may be towards the end of the window before we see any incoming - as the Prem clubs allow players to move out and free up squad places for their own incoming.
The Jarvis piece is already in the public domain, reported earlier in the week. Parkin was always going to be likely with Taiwo also reported in the news. He may have inside information, or maybe he's taking a punt on embelishing what is already in the press. An educated guess.
Knew about Jarvis on Friday. Hope it's right about Earnie - to be honest (unfortunately) he isn't a player whose good enough for most teams in this division. We've got a better, quicker player who can do his job coming through the Academy.
