    Morning Chaps

Not a wind up, was just wondering what figure you would accept for Torres to leave? Or would you not at all?

Obviously he will never go for fifty mill, but if a club came in for 25 would you cut your losses and run?

It does seem as though AVB is tired of him - when was the last time he got a game? And scored?

I think you're in a similar position to us with Carroll. Selling him massively cheaper is embarrassing for the club, and there is always the chance they will come good.

Patience must be running out for Torres though surely? He sulked for us for half a season which we though must of been because he did not want to be here (and he fell out with Carra and Stevie), but he has carried that attitude over to you guys and it's still there now.

What's the matter with him? Starting to think he is one spoilt brat who is only happy when everything is going his way. Otherwise he doesn't want to know.

    Opinions?

It's a tricky situation, Torres is still a world-class player and you wouldn't want to sell him but at the same time as long as were playing in a 4-3-3 and playing with some of the players we do then his never going to get going at our team, he always looks short of room in this 4-3-3 and can't use his pace to the full extent. Difficult situation is though if we sell him then his just going to bang them in somewhere else where his more suited to a team. I personally would of liked to do the pato for torres or robinho for torres deal. Who knows what were do though, it's tough to see him struggle because you can see his still world class but this team just does not suit him at all, it's a bit like Carroll at yours for instance, Gerrard comes back one of the best creative midfielders in the game and look how much more Carroll was in the game last night, we haven't really got anyone for that apart from Mata who were playing on the left-wing

Yeah true. Some players just don't work in some teams. It does seem as though he has lost half a yard though which doesn't help, neither does Sturridge banging them in!

I also cannot see you changing your style to suit him - why should you? The second half of this season will be very important for Torres imo. He's had a while now, and he's hasnt got age/devlopment to hide behind like Carroll does.

Interesting times. An ancient Drogba looks much better when he gets a game!

Thing is though Drogbas been playing for us for about 7 years, his suited to the team and the whole team plays for him, not to mention a big powerful player suits a 4-3-3, torres don't work in a 4-3-3 and he looks like his pace has gone because he can't get the room to use his pace, if say we played in the formation you use to do a 4-5-1 and Torres had the whole space in front of him to move around and attack then he'd do a lot better but were not playing that formation, with a player like Torres he has to be running the whole line whereas Sturridge is running our team at the moment due to his ferocious pace and attacking, i agree as well i can't see us changing our style or formation because then we may not get the best out of sturridge, the only other way i feel it could work is if we went to a 4-1-2-1-2 and played mata behind sturridge and torres. I'd give that a few tries if i was AVB and then if Torres still can't seem to click then i'd personally sell him and bring in someone else.

Yeah I agree. Has to become a point where you have to bite the bullet. He's played something like 35 games hasnt he?

I'd wait to the end of the season, flog him - not sure how much you'd get tbh, and then bring in Nemar.

Nah **** neymar, will cost a lot and be a huge risk, premier leagues a whole different game to the brazillian league. Think his signed a pre-agreement to join Barca in 2014 anyway, personally think we should go for someone like Cavani,Pato or Robinho. Shame villa had to break his leg because he would of been a good buy. Were see though, personally i hope Torres can deliver the goods and shut the doubters up but i just can't see it at us, not his fault it's our fault. Win some ya lose some don't ya, always the cheaper buys that do better lol

I don't get why AVB doesn't play him over Drogb . Just trust him and I'm sure he will come good.

I don't think that's it, Chelsea are not set up like liverpool which accommodated Torres. With Drogba (who in my view at his peak was miles better than Torres ever was) Chelsea play making good use of his amazing strength and ability to hold the ball up. That's why he hasn't gelled yet, AVB will/is changing the way we play so we are not reliant on one particular way. I'm confident that Torres will again shine in the new Chelsea. :)

True mate. I mean Andy Carroll. Then Enrique for 5 who has been fantastic. Bellamy for £0.00! Just how it goes.

Chelsea have made about 50mil in Torres shirt sales anyway, so I wouldn't mind cutting our losses. I despeartaley want him to come good, because I have always liked him. I never ever thought he was worth 50mil even in his peak, but then again, very few players should be. Quite frankly, I would let him play until the end of the season. With 20mil Heskey starting to preform for the reserves and Sturridge still banging them in, I won't be amazingly worried if he doesn't start scoring lots again. In summer, depending on the season, he can go, and Pato, Higuian or Cavani would do us nicely.
