Just seen on the transfer rumour site, someone suggesting we look at Rob Hulse from QPR
I think he is the same as Stead but wonder what all you lot think of him?

Plus I think a swap deal could be the way forward with Maynard there could be some gems in the premier league in the reserves somewhere remember where Cole came from and he turned out to be a real gem.

Maynard for holt or jackson or nowich

    or

maynard for hulse and eprhiam of qpr, good deals

Lmao, if you could get Norwich to part with Holt you really should be manager!

Grant Holt is 30 are you sure you still want him Shiny?
He is 2 years younger than Hulse though

We need a Holt or a Lambert player, but I'm afraid Mr. Maynard will graze his contract out with us and walk on a free. I said this before the Leicester fiasco and I still stick with it. He will walk in the summer and we won't get a BEAN.

I will be delighted to be proved wrong, but I'm convinced I'm right.

Got a feeling we will be offered a swap for some premiership reserve player. Or someone struggling like Holt or Hulse, just think Hulse is too similar to Stead.
Hopefully Del has got some foriegn player lined up that no one has heard off, and will start banging in a shed load of goals.

Hulse is just another Stead, can't see the benefit personally

Tommy Smith used to be brilliant but doesn't seem to feature much these days ?

if he did this then i would lose respect for him, and i would boo with what would be the majority of the crowd, none of this "its business" lark, not only would he have ****ed us about for 7 months, we would of lost out on a couple of mill and possible a replacement, his boy hood team will be left out of pocket too, this would show complete lack of commitment to our club and would prove he really dosent give a **** about us or crewe, but hopefully this wont be the case and he will leave with my blessing (every player wishes for shiny blessing)

That's pretty much way I suggested him, was class at this level but not getting a look in now QPR are in the prem. Just a level too high for the bloke I think but sure he could do a job for us.

Looking at the actual appearences DJ Campbell has only started once all season, Buzacky has only started twice and would be a midfielder that could actually create something.. Will be interesting to see what happens anyway!

Not wishing to be the bearer of bad news Shiny but Mr Holt turned his nose up at us once a few years ago when we were battling for promotion with Forest in League One although we had the last laugh as we got promoted and they didn't.

There has been bad blood since which is a shame as he would be exactly the sort of player that we need. That plus of course the fact that he despite the fact that he is not Lambert's first choice, he is proving himself indespensible by still scoring regularly (7) in the prem - why would he come here...?

I haven't written Steady off just yet. You only have to remember the monsterous performances he turned in when he first came here and I am hoping that he can reproduce these as he gets back to full fitness. Him and Brett together would be a forward line, IF fed correctly.

That said, if NM did run his contract down with us (can't see it), you would be happy if he then scored 15 goals and kept us up...
