Poyet before the Reading game "Let's see if we can do more or less the same as last year. I'm confident that we can win all three games over the Christmas and New Year period because we have the quality in this squad to beat any team. "There are teams who are above us but we have been in every game. We will stay calm and look for solutions to win every game. Oh dear oh dear!!!!!! and three more bookings.
I don't think we should take Brighton lightly. They'll be a big challenge, but not one that Saints can't overcome.
Hope we don't get involved in the fight, just play our way & leave the gulls to the bin scraps. Dirty little beggars.
I think Gus is right to say his side can beat any team - I think there's enough quality in their team to be able to beat any side in this league on their day. Unfortunately for Gus, the exact same thing can be said for 10+ other teams as well. Only three of us have shown that we have the consistently to win week-in, week-out though, and not rely on it "being our day". I wouldn't be surprised if Brighton beat us next week, and if Gus could deal with the disciplinary problems (which I'm sure largely stem from him), then I also wouldn't be surprised if they nicked a play-off spot come the end of the season.
Well said . I don't usually get involved with wanting us to totally humiliate the opposition , a little for pompey , but i hope we muller BRIGHTON . Filth that they are !!!!!!!! We will probably lose now I have posted that .......
We really should be beating them at the AMEX,lovely stadium, fantastic pitch which will suit our style of play and Brighton's.Let's see if they show up this time around, because they didn't last time we played them. They tried not to lose the game instead of trying to win it. And Gus,don't say anything stupid again like the Dag & Redbridge thing
Gus Poyet is a prize twat and only confirms this with his attitude that everyone is picking on him and his squad. When Saints beat Brighton on their turf he will undoubttedly repeat this plus it will give him a chance to get on telly again.
