He does tick several of Lambert's requirements though - young, hungry, talented, British, ambitious

I don't like Gunter, I think he's a thug and a dangerous player, I wonder if he'd be too aggressive to fit in with PL's masterplan?

That having been said, ILWT so if this one does come off, I have every faith that he is the right person for the club!

Why do you think that CS?

Also, I wonder why Spurs (or should that be spurts? <doh> ), after 'racing' for his signature, did they offload him so relatively quickly?

In the games during which I've watched him, he always looks too fiery, I believe it was vs Leeds he made three or four real dangerous challenges. I don't think he would be good in our squad where togetherness is important, I could imagine him lunging in during a match, getting himself sent off, and irritating the lads by putting them on the back foot.

Might be wrong, though. It's just my opinion and I'm usually happy to be proved wrong on this one!

We all thought Tierney was the same when he signed. PL seems to find a way to channel all that aggression into the right places

Fair comment, I think Paul Lambert's genius with regards to Teriney was teaching him the cart-wheel. Whenever Tierney gets angry, he cart-wheels around the dressing room to calm himself down. FACT.

I was a bit surprised when I saw this, but I have faith in Lambert and more especially Culverhouse's judgment in this case. If we are going on signing Wales players though, how about Bale! (Just kidding guys!)

he's a decent right back but i assume this would mean we can't keep naughton, which would be a massive shame. can certainly be a bit hot-headed at times but a very good full back, thats for sure. not worth £2.5m though <yikes>
