Its not just my opinion GH it was Harry after the game aswell re 442, but you are respectfully entitled to yours, which is only catering for us having the ball, its the part of the game when we don't have it and being over-ran in MF thats the problem being overlooked here imo. Its all about balance, and I'm not criticising, just pointing out your views in this instance, seem more weighted to the attacking element of our game.

Yes we nearly nicked it...so did they!...I fully appreciate they are a top side (that got beat at home by Liverpoo!) and should get a chance or two, but they were gifted many.

All in all I'm happy with this half of the season, this game was just one of those frustrating outcomes for a number of reasons...one or two need immediate addressing to move forward though. <ok>

Fair comments NSS <ok> - but if Harry thought 4-4-2 was the wrong way to go, why did he do it? And it's not like it's the first time he's played 4-4-2 either. Harry is the one who went for Pav, given that he went that route I think JD would have served that purpose better.

I'm no particular fan of 4-4-2, I like 4-2-3-1, but in the end for me it's all about the front six rather than fretting too much over formations. Harry, the coaches and players have to work out how best to use the talent available.

Yep, if GDS is the answer, I hate to think what the question would be :) I have no faith in him whatsoever, nor Pav.

I wouldn't mind us going 3-5-2, but the players and coaches simply need to sort these issues out on the training ground.

To me it's daft playing 4-4-2 with Modric wide. You play three central mids, one winger and two 'attackers'. Call it 4-3-3, 4-2-3- 1, whatever. Chelsea didn't have one classic winger in the mould of Lennon or Bale, yet still bossed a lot of the game.

Tbh GH, the look on his face said he wasn't sure either!, he just bumbled round it saying it was a difficult situation to deal with, as we're all stating there were options, it would appear he had no faith in. I wonder whether one of the sidekicks Bond, Jordan etc. put the idea in his head, he would surely have discussed it, so they're all culpable imo.

:) NSS. I think Harry and co need to work hard over the next few days sorting this out. They knew Lennon was missing and Defoe doubtful for this one. I wonder if they thought through the problem if VDV went missing, and let's face it with his hamstrings, it's not an unlikely scenario.

We can't be too harsh on him, because the majority of his calls when change is needed have been spot on. The bright side is if we were all offered 3rd at Crimbo, apart from calling whoever was offering it deluded! we'd rip their arm off. <ok>
