I don't cry and bitch at all, get your facts straight. I cried and bitched once when you said you will not be supporting Suarez. I was quite shocked by this, coming from a fellow fan, but once I read your reasoning i began to understand your viewpoint and thought it was very decent. So there, you stand corrected! Baz

Alright, nice one. We'll leave it that then <ok>

Sorry if I offended you.

Yet he's a prolific goalscorer and has a great return not only for his club but country too. Proving he can do it domestically and internationally, perhaps indicating he wouldn't struggle in Europe either.

Not all of the great strikers have pace, especially in the premier league where Strength is more prized. As to your point he can find space in a box of weak opponents; I think that's the type of player that we need - someone who will consistently score and convert chances against the "lesser" teams. All we need is a striker who can put away all of our chances, if we'd had one since the summer then those 17 post and bar hits would probably have resulted in goals, not to mention the countless chances we've failed to convert.

For a Striker? Really? Strength? WITHOUT Pace?

Championship Player in the making.

International Football is the worse possible yardstick by which to judge top class Players, it doesn't come close to the standard of the Premier League.

Hence the David Healey quote, check out his stats!

That's interesting - All of the stats he's got, including 14 goals in 15 league appearances, and 43 goals in 91 appearances for Germany; and you can conclude he'd make a championship player? Berbatov, as slow as a donkey - United saw fit to spend £31m on him. Ronaldo, after the weight gain - still scored over 1 goal every 2 games. Crouch, Huntelaar, Crespo - none of them have blistering pace but are seen as some of the best strikers around (bar Crouch of course)...

Again, cementing my opinion that pace isn't everything.

I've seen a figure of £16.6mil bandied about. If so, then for a 26 year old, not a bad price.

We've not had a top german in the team since Dietmar left. He'd be a welcome addition to the squad...

Pace isn't everything, there is no magic ingredient, but if you were to look for one thing above all else, that would be it.

Berbatov is slow, agreed. What he does have is sublime skill, height and intelligence, but despite his prolific return at Old Trafford he has been replaced by a Player, in Hernandez, who has maybe one of those qualities, but is lightening quick.

agreed but those prices are proof enough that money is there

Proof that 'that' level of money is there.

Which goes back to my point, that Drogba would be a good signing for LFC, because he would offer the quality, strength and pace and goal threat at the level you are operating at.

I've gotta admit I would love to have Drogba he has that knack for scoring goals we desperately need

Could our hearts and fine budget cope with having 3 shall we say rascals in Suarez, Drogba & Bellamy all in same team; it would be something to see!

We'd also be accused of starting up a synchronised diving team for 2012 By a few on here lol

Is that David 'Usain Bolt' Schofield I see posting again?

I forgot that all football players will at some point be asked to try out for the 100m at the Olympics. Hence pace is paramount in every footballer, isn't it?

P.S - Djibril Cisse, Ryan Babel, Mark Gonzalez.

Hope we can pull this off, we need someone who can put the ball in the net!

We should sign him purely because we could sing this song.
