I will happily have a £100 bet with you where the winner donates to the other person's favoured charity that Sunderland wont get relegated.

Lets see how "obvious" you really think it is...

OK let's do it.. Btw there was no exclusivity as to the season you go down in.

However you wanna look at it they are paying alot of cash for somebody who has had one decent six month spell in the last few years
I think if you factor in what you’d have to pay him in wages (say £60k) then the other £60k works out at just over £12m if you keep him for 4 years. It’s also a sum Leeds have automatically spread so no lump outgoings.

Nobody getting robbed there, but dress it up how you like Einstein.

I am not "dressing anything up" (bizzare comment). I am saying I am not convinced he is anything other than a player who has basically had a decent six months and nothing more most of his career.

In the 24/25 season he only played 1160mins, year before 1600 and year before that 1100. This season just gone nearly 2700mins. So in one season hes suddenly played 70% of what he had in the 3 years prior.

Stinks of a player turning it on when he is looking for a better contract. Leeds fans seem happy though but £120k a week for a 29 year old with no resale value at all is a big risk over a 4 year period

Sunderland fans on the news of Wilson available:

Too good for Sunderland

Fabulous player

Fulham’s best player

Would take in a heart beat

Superb player

Brilliant passer

Could choose to play for most of the league

Would solve a problem

Sunderland fans on hearing he’s signed for Leeds:

Actually wouldn’t get in our team

Too old

No resale value

Too expensive

Thats absolute rubbish to be fair. I am very much in the minority of Sunderland fans who were not keen on signing him

So not rubbish then, thats the sort of comments those in the majority were coming out with, until he didnt sign. If you never wanted him, then fair play but there was plenty of others that did
