I see not one word has been posted by the far left supporters on here, about the millions in our taxes given away to far left charity's, Charity begins at home, but i keep seeing posts on here about children going to school hungry, why not stop the massive handouts and deal with our own children in desperate need first

Government borrowing surged to £23.3billion in May, official figures showed, marking an increase of nearly a third compared with the same month last year and exceeding economists' expectations.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported borrowing was £5.4billion higher than in May 2025, representing an increase of 30.4 per cent.

Interest payments on Government debt reached £11.7billion, the highest figure ever recorded
for the month of May.

Government borrowing costs are the interest the UK has to pay to investors who lend it money, and those costs rise when inflation or gilt yields go up.

It will take 44,000 years to clear the asylum court backlog built up since Labour took power, shocking figures reveal. A new analysis shows that processing all 38,866 asylum cases lodged since the government entered office would equate to 44,000 years if handled one after another. The extraordinary total highlights the scale of delays plaguing the system.

Official data indicates that lawyers and migrants are launching repeated appeals, with the average wait for a judgment stretching to 14 months over the past two years. The backlog calculation excludes a further 87,000 appeals lodged by April to overturn failed claims — a 70 % rise on the previous year. Operating the immigration and asylum appeals service already costs taxpayers £80 million annually.

More ****e from Mad Rog. Those figures are based on the premise that asylum decisions are made one after another in a single court. Not like Rog to be sucked in mind <doh>

Not like mad Row 3 not to show any figures which disclaim the ones posted, as the posted came from gov uk, As usual Row 3 attacking before checking, still looking forward to the labour leadership fight of 2 rats in a sack and all the dirty laundry comes out

Here you go mad Rog.

Around 38,866 asylum appeals were reportedly lodged after the current government took office.
The average waiting time for an appeal decision is roughly 14 months.
Someone multiplied the number of cases by the average time per case as if every case were heard one after another by a single judge or court.
That produces a figure of roughly 44,000 years, but that is not how the tribunal system works. Thousands of cases are handled simultaneously by multiple judges and hearing centres across the country. Even the newspaper reports quoting the figure acknowledge that it assumes cases are processed one at a time

How can people with no proof of nationality claim asylum?
First thing a judge should say is "sorry but without proof of where you are form we can not proove a need for asylum".
