Sat outside the coffee shop and a scruffy bloke with a bin bag is walking past purposefully. He gets about 30 yards past and some other junkie shouts “oi doggy shagger where you going?” but is ignored by the first man. Second man turns to me the sole seated person outside and informs me the other man shagged a dog and walks off.

One of the regular female junkies of the main street linking Brighton and Hove tried to sell me some smoked salmon she’d just nicked from the little Sainsbury’s on my way to the gym.

Anyway good morning. The country is cooked. Foggy which I like.

It's the Thames link line(s) into St Pancras (and on to Brighton, Gatwick etc) - I get on at Harpenden if I'm going to London ... it's also used by Midland Mainline which go high speed from Nottingham / Leicester into St Pancras - looks like 2 of those have collided ... **** if you're living between Luton and Bedford and further north ... be commuter chaos if it ain't all cleared etc before Monday ...

Thameslink is closed between St Pancras and London Bridge on Sunday so hopefully they can sort it then and just close the northern bit. Barely get a weekend where the ****ing thing is running properly anyway.

Thameslink trains into London and onwards completely ****ed ...

Middle daughter is hosting a travel journo trip to the Dolomites tomorrow - could have got the train from here down to Gatwick for her morning flight - so much, for my Sunday lie-in! ... the joys of the M25 and M23 with every other ****er now having to drive there! :emoticon-0106-cryin

Just arrived in Croatia, that was an early start!!!
Big fan of an early flight. Fewer delays generally, bit of Spoons breakfast alongside a family who woke up at 1am and the parents are three pints in while the kids are kicking off. Little coffee outside while the hotel sort the room out.
