He did but often he literally went to the byline and did a pull back. I can't remember any crosses from him similar to Brobbey's 1st goal today,

although tbf our set up didn't help as we had issues on the right and our tactics didn't allow Ekitike to play off the shoulder much.

haven't seen Brobbeys goal so i ain't got much to go on <laugh>

still struggle to see what the plan was when we signed Wirtz . To me it has always looked like we went "oh he looks really good lets sign him" with no thought to how he would fit into our team plus an over reliance on one exceptional year for the team he played for .

Yeah. He's a decent and it's like they wanted a new cherry to top the icing on the cake, but we're baking bread.

He's the type of player you need to build a team around.

Wirtz is special. It's obvious watching him he's special.

Kdb levels of ability.

You don't fit him in you build around him

Diomande roasted kimmich down the left there for that goal. Real pace from him.

Couple poor touches shows his still a bit raw but brave and direct. First time seen him actually play

agree. You give him the ball in dangerous areas and he will find passes and create chances. Just needs stability around him to work on those passes but can see how good he is with ball at his feet in tight areas and how good he is at linking up with people when they move.

Can’t do much if team mates standing still doing nothing but get movement around him and se ehim
Come to life.

we will see this season as it regularly takes players at least a season to get used to the pace/physicality of PL and last season was a shambles from us exacerbated by the injuries .

Should point out i think he is a good player but not convinced he suits us and PL and the idea we are going to build a team round him seems unlikely considering the players we are linked with

There was countless time last season he looked like the older brother playing with his younger brothers team.

Obviously better, but not that arsed. He understood that what was around him and the directions given were pointless.

Every now and then he'd come alive, especially with ekitike, ball between them and movement was electric.

Then it would hit gakpo or even worse mo and it would stop.

Get wirtz firing with lads around him and we can **** the defensive worries off. We will be back to teams being to scared to come out
