Appreciate most don’t give a **** about England but what’s the thoughts on Tuchel going with about five CBs? Is he going to try and 1-0 the WC like he did the UCL? Is he a breath of fresh air for going with players he thinks he needs rather than those everyone else expects?

Think he'll see Spence (for both sides) and then Konsa/Burn as the replacement FB's now, so I don't think it makes a great deal of odds re formation or anything, again though, much better players available to give more balance to the squad.

It feels to me like how Eddie says and sees it. For example, “I’ve put burn at left back because they take long throws”. I’m no football manager, but when he’s said that I tend to think “well, surely the %age of danger from being turned inside out time and again by their winger outweighs the 5 throw ins they might get”.

Same with England, feels like Tuchel and his team see it just having a big solid defensive a structure and will almost certainly see us enter the knockouts with at least 3 CBs on the pitch. I get it, to a point, but when Burn marauds down the wing it causes so many problems for Newcastle I can only imagine what it’ll do for England. Gordon will be thinking “****s sake, I went to Barca to get away from this bollocks”….

Surely it’s Stones or Konsa, and Guehi or Burn, didn’t agree with Stones/Konsa. I suppose the full backs pick themselves now.

Similar to Newcastles issues - without a true DM the defence is exposed, but if that means more goals then I’m all for it. Better teams will play through us though.

It was a good result, although I think we got very lucky with the penalty retake. Keeper's back foot was not off the line.

Yeah I don't know why he did the stuttered run up but the keepers foot looked off to me and Gvardiol was clearly encroaching anyway and was the defender who made the clearance so think the retake was justified.

Stones was horrendous.
Madueke needs to learn to cross.
James looked rusty.
That ****ty passing around at the back routine inviting pressure is awful.
Anderson and Rice good
Kane good but why after scoring two goals did he get all aggy with the ref and their players?
Gordon all huff and puff
Konsa did his job.
O'Reilly looked lost to me.
Pickford was ok.
Bellingham is average and a knob

thought I might watch the end of Scotland Morocco: 2nd half kick off from the Scots was that ****ing pathetic direct kick into touch, immediately turned it off to watch road house. British football is back in the ****ing 80s.

shame you didn't watch it from the beginning, you would have turned it off long before the 2nd half mate! You could've watched RoadHouse a bit earlier and had some extra beauty sleep. Original or remake?

Remake. So bad it’s amusing.

Watched the running man remake thought it was terrific.
