I have forgotten how many times I have written to you over the years letting you know what I would like for a Christmas present and I must say that generally you have been most obliging.

There have been a couple of blips along the way most noticeably last year when you left me half a dozen eggs when what I really wanted was an Xbox. Like me I know you are getting on a bit and some of the things the children ask for these days leaves us both bewildered as neither of us has a clue what they are on about.

So this year I thought I would keep my Christmas wish list nice and straightforward and include one or two gifts that I would like you to give to others.

Firstly please give Pompey a nice new owner. They would like one that has plenty of money (not too much though) and one who doesn’t have a dubious past and it must be someone who will stick with them to bring some much needed stability. They have had it really tough over the last couple of years and the fans down there have been really unhappy and desperately need to be cheered up a teeny little bit. This is a bit of a selfish gift in a way as my life would not be the same if I didn’t have them to pretend to insult.

Secondly please give Nigel a really good striker and a decent winger as he has been a really good guy this year and deserves all the help and support you can give him.

Thirdly I would like a season ticket to watch the Saints in the Premier league in 2012/13. You don’t have to worry about this present until about July time so it will leave you free to concentrate on the other presents for now.

Also please give all my fellow Saint’s posters plus one or two of the Pompey posters (the nice ones that is) on this website something really nice as well. You will know better than me what they might like.

Now I know you don’t like tittle tattle but my mum always said you had to be good if Father Christmas is going to bring you a present so I would like to make a plea for clemency on behalf of SB3. I wouldn’t think you would be planning to give him anything this year but we Saints fans have all got to like him even though he has been infuriatingly annoying all year. He spends a great deal of his time with us and it would appear that we have been slowly changing his behaviour to the extent that he is almost one of us now. So can you please find something suitable for him from the Saints Megastore perhaps a Saints mug so that when he is busy posting on this site we can all envisage him with his Saints mug in hand gulping at his tea while typing away on his keyboard.

Then there is the lovely Mrs Godders and I know she would like some more of those support stockings you gave her last year.

Thank you.

I'll be happy with three points on Boxing Day for us, Watford, Derby, Millwall, Birmingham and Reading. Boro and Hull can have a point each. :)
Not much to ask, is it?!

Thank you, that's very kind of you to write. I appreciate the sentiment, as would the majority of Portsmouth fans on this forum I'm sure.

St Godders - La Senza has gone bust, I reccomend you go and get some good deals for the Lovely Mrs Godders before its too late!
