There was a Cortina MK II 3.0 litre Essex V6 which produced 218 bhp and was as fast as an E-Type from 0-60.
Anyway, enough of this nonsense.
To keep this on (Ford Cortina) topic, somebody needs to post “Saturday’s Kids” by The Jam.
Stains on the seats, in the back of course.

We used to turn up and pay on the door.Tonight, we're off on a pre-birthday treat...if the ****ing tickets turn up!!
Buying off Twickets is fine...until. every so often the tickets don't show up. Probabhly 20% of the time, I spend the 48 hours before pulling out what nature's left me by way of hair.
Fingers crossed, as I really fancy this one.
We used to turn up and pay on the door.
When we couldn't, it lost its appeal
Here's a band I've seen live

Happy (early) Birthday!!Ok...so that was really pretty bad.
The first 30 minutes or so were ****ing dreadful. He sang across the melody of very basic songs and he was really badly out of tune. WTF is that...?
The next 30 minutes, he ****ed off to the far side of the stage, massacred 'Good Year for The Roses' (sounded more like Goodyear Radial for The Council Tip'), overly complicated 'Alison' and lost its beauty and continued to sing across melodies, from time to time.
The final 30 minutes, he proved that the previous hour was a choice, rather than all he could muster (think the difference in Europe v Premier League, during Ange's final months). Which just makes the whole thing worse. He was choosing to make things worse!!
Mrs B was gonna flounce out before half time. If she'd stood up, I would have followed. She met a mate on the way out. His considered opinion...
"Well, that was ****!"
Regrettably, he wasn't wrong. A great afternoon/evening...spoiled.
Let’s hope they all live that long. So, having announced their Final Damnation, 50th anniversary, end of year tour schedule some weeks ago...plans were made,
Go to the Manchester gig on 30th November, train it down to Nottingham for the Derby gig on 2 December. Stay in Nottingham until the 5th, when we head up to Birmingham for the final night.
It's all good. No mention of Watford...not even a whisper of it...until it's announced that on the 4th December, there's another show...at Watford Colosseum..????
FFS!!!
Watford....?
Atrrrrrgggghhh!
