Now on I understand that if a goal kick takes longer than 5 seconds, FIFA in all their wisdom has decided it's a corner but what if taking the corner takes longer than 5 seconds?
First time a keeper has been penalised for taking over 5 seconds to take a goal kick, Portugal get a corner and take about 20 seconds to take it changing the taker as well. Surely if it's law that you have 5 secs to take a goal kick or a throw in it should be the same for a corner
Just beat me to it, agree it's a stupid rule. Same with the 5 sec throw in
typical of the football rule makers, invent a rule to speed up play ... which then results in taking much more time.
