Baffling that we sell one of our better players, instead of all the dead weight we have.
Whats even more baffling is the price we sold him for...£50m?! £50m? Guy is one of the best fullbacks in Europe, yes he wasnt always immense for us, but 75% of the time he was one of our better players.
Maybe if he had had 12-18 months left on his contract, but no, guy has 3 years left on his contract, and we sell him for £47m plus add ons?! WTF!!!
Unless we are signing Nico O'Reilly on the sly, this is an insane move.
Should be £10m more AT LEAST on his selling price.
We sign him as a nobody from Brighton for £60m, improve him, win silverware with im, and sell him at his peak to REAL MADRID for LESS MONEY??!!?!
Dont get me wrong, Cuckoo isnt exactly a world beater, and I dont think he in the same league as Ashley Cole, or even Ferreira or Petrescu....but ffs....WTF is this? I know we paid an inflated fee for him, but to sell him to Real Madrid and not AT LEAST get our money back is insane....Well done Blueco....good business.....****ing clowns

On the surface looks like another **** up by the genius “Football directors”. But Cuckoo has been whining behind the scenes and clearly wanted out. Maybe his griping pissed someone off? Fernandez is another whinger. Wish though he’d been sold, and Cuckoo kept.

To be honest, with his whinging, it was inevitable he would be sold.
Its just WHO we sold him to and for how much thats pissing me off.
You cant tell me he is worse player than when we signed him? So why when selling him to a giant like Real Madrid, with 3 years left on his contract, are we giving them such a deal?
 
Mainly because our owners are clueless amateurs who couldn’t run a pub chook raffle let alone a football club.
Our buying and selling has been a lesson in how NOT to build a successful football club and stay financially sound !!!!
And this is just the first sale\ purchase of many to come. !!!!!!

I am expecting Cole Palmer to Man United for £60m any day now.
 
Well it will be interesting to see just what our genius football managers do to sort out the mess they have created. Incoming manager will need a significant upgrade in all 3 areas of the pitch, the front the back and the middle. Actually make that 4, the sides need help too. Don’t see many signs of being overwhelmed with offers for any of the many players needing selling yet, let alone bringing anyone in.
Another season of rebuilding coming up, with the need for patience from owners and fans. Good luck with that.
