How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

  • Total voters

If I was being cynical, I’d suggest Farage was very happy with Reform being a loud party with no actual responsibility for anything and he’s accidentally found himself in a position where they could feasibly take the most seats in a General Election albeit not a majority. Being in charge is overrated, as fat Boris found out. Much easier and more fun to be the poster boy for how much better it could be if the lot in charge were replaced without anyone ever finding out.

When Labour remove Starmer I think they'll secure a majority.

But the Tories are absolutely ****ed imo, Reform haven't just stolen a load of voters, they've stolen a load of donors, the advantage Labour have over the Tories is they can still get their hands on tons of cash to campaign.

Well that certainly raised the colours on his bottom lip

Honestly though, these attention seeking ****in morons are spouting ****e on social media and turn up at these events, trying to agitate and stir up division and then wonder why trouble finds them.

Somebody just needs to ban his internet connection.
One of his cronies as just been charged with murder after punching 2 men in a bar in Lichfield, normally if its a fight and one dies the charge is manslaughter, little info out there even though it happened over 2 weeks ago, as to why the charge is murder.

Yep I'd heard about that. Not sure about the circumstances.

These types of people are just trouble, looking to cause trouble and attracting trouble.

It doesn't surprise me one bit that the flag shagging **** raise the colours Ryan surrounds himself with brain dead thugs.

Given that he doesn't even bother to turn up in Parliament as an MP, tells you that this **** would jump ship if Reform ever got elected.

He's not a politician, he's a ****ing two bob showman. Turning up to bedazzle and confuse the punters with his cheap tricks and empty promises about how he'll make the working class better off by sending all the darkies home. And then jetting off to cozy up to rich donors, personal benefactors and anybody who will further his own interests.

Proper ****ing snake oil spiv

The general right wing in the UK is doing something that isn't happening in France and Germany.

They're infighting.

Mad how after being a major party for less than 5 years Reform has already splintered with Restore, Tommy Robinsons gang seems to hate Farage, they genuinely call him a "leftie," the wires crossing even with Reforms front bench, with Zia Yusuf claiming different things to Jenrick.

In Makerfield Labour are actually polling better than they were during the 2024 election now.

At the end of the day, the right wing in the UK, and by that I mean Reform, Restore, Tommeh and crew are a one trick pony.

For them it's all about how immigrants have caused all of the problems, and sending them home will fix everything.

Which of course is narrow minded simplicity beyond belief. They literally have nothing else to offer.

They are all vying for that one platform, and **** chops Lowe has positioned himself even further to the right than Farage

It's no wonder they are all acting like bitches with each other.

He's a pretty good orator and he's obviously fairly intelligent - there's a bloke in the US who is neither, and yet still leads the most powerful country in the world. Just goes to show - if you have the will, and the opportunities arise ...

The US is a bit of a different beast to the UK. Although we have loads of similarities, there is a really fundamental evangelist streak that runs through vast swathes of the US that makes the roundabout painters look like Liberals.

I'm talking pro life, pro gun, anti immigrant, racist, homophobic, conspiracy loving, Jesus has ordained Trump crew.

You don't have to go far to find them, and what's more, lots of these folk are part of the mainstream media, congressmen / women, state governors etc. You only have to look at Trump's administration to find them now right at the top.

Politics is even more of a Pantomime out there than it is here. But I fear that certain factions want to take us in that direction.

Trump is actually a superb communicator.

Studies have been done on this.

He understands exactly what Churchill said was democracy's inherent weakness: most voters are either too indifferent or too stupid to listen to a high brow speech. They want a simple message in plain English spoken in exactly the way they would have spoken it, and they'll vote for you.

But I think Trump has always been this way. It's how he has conducted business for decades and became very wealthy doing so.

Then there is a more dangerous breed which is posh Eton twats like Farage and Johnson who are somehow able to convince state school drop-outs that they're just another bloke from down the pub. That's another level of manipulation.

Well if studies have been done <laugh>

Personally I think he is awful - garbled, mumbled, mostly surface skimming issues whilst self promoting ... flinging his toys out of the pram whenever questioned and ranting insults as a response whenever challenged.

Anybody thinking that's 'superb' communication needs their Bumps feeling...

Now Obama - there was a superb communicator...

Right, but you're looking for something else from your elected leaders. You probably want to be impressed and wowed by them.

The average voter really couldn't give a damn about that and probably doesn't listen to the speeches anyway.

Maybe superb communicator is wrong.

But he is a very effective and efficient communicator.

Starmer: 'Social media is making children unhappy.'

Sorry bro but if people wanted parenting advice I don't think you'd be high on their list of insight to behaviours.

What he is really doing is excusing what he's going to do next, which is banning all under 16's from social media., well also under 18's to a certain degree.

This should be fun.

It's a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Of course everybody wants to make sure Children are protected online

They need to make the social media platforms take down harmful content and misinformation, and have actual moderators like they used to before Trump demanded that they binned it because all of his content was getting flagged as nonsense lol

My concern is that a lot of kids use these platforms to communicate with their friends, for some of them, it's a vital channel for them to stay engaged and not become isolated

Taking it away from kids because the social media companies can't moderate their content is collective punishment for the kids

It's like Gaza all over again :bandit:
