We visited Curacao a few years ago whilst on a Caribbean cruise. We did the distillery tour where you could pretty much try all the different coloured variations if you wanted. Very nice drink.

I wouldn't call the Netherlands stunning, tropical or paradise. It's rather flat and boring.
I wouldn't call it boring,I'd plump for under serious threat of flooding in years to come...
They have been under the threat of flooding for years, a lot of it is below sea level and some of it is reclaimed from the sea.
They do manage their waterways well though and don't have anywhere near as many problems with flooding as the UK does.
According to one of the commentators, it's 70 miles from Venazuela.
