Not sure I get this love-in with Sam Bell, he comes across as a real nice lad and son of a great LB.......but in the cold light of day will he do enough to start in our first league match or remain as a first choice.
Under Pearson I thought he was progressing into a 'player' but for whatever reason under Manning and Struber he didn’t get selected and went out on loan......and tbf he didn’t set the world alight at Wycombe.
Nothing would give me more pleasure than to see Sam do well and he's a better prospect than Maylu and Armstrong but if we're aiming top 6 then I think we'll need much better.

Same as you.
I’m hoping Skubala can find the Bobby Reid moment in him.

Morning RP
I just think that after the season just gone when our main strikers didn’t do their job, young Sam cams back from Wycombe and managed to do what Armstrong and Riis had failed to do for most of the season, score goals

Fair play Angelic, but judging Sam against what Armstrong and Riis did during last season won't get us moving upwards.
I'd love to see Sam do well but there's something nagging me saying he's not physical enough for the Championship.
I hope I'm wrong.

THEN WE HAD BETTER GET UP THERE PRETTY DAMN QUICK!!!......

apologies for all caps but need a new keyboard what with hospital and physically at times "unwilling"not took it back to PCW

The first real positive, he will have moved in wages from the pittance he was on!!!!!!! so might shine a good effort might actually see him follow BOBBY REIDS path or 2 or more others gone on to betterr things

Mehmeti wasn’t physical yet scored plenty of goals, I agree Sam isn’t a physical type striker, but like Mehmeti he does have the ability to score goals when played as a wide striker. Skubala obviously has a plan where to play him to be affective, I agree if Manning was still in charge Sam would’ve been better off leaving.

Mehmeti, besides having far more ability than Sam is a totally different character......Mehmeti had confidence and belief beyond words (although at times I couldn't see it) which on occasion set him apart. From a distance Sam seems to lack belief. I'd love to believe Skubala can get him playing effectively, I thought under Pearson Sam was on an upward curve.
Hope springs eternal.
