He wouldn't be at that level if he stayed with us. Not at the time with Tonali, Bruno and Joelinton ahead of him. Yes, we undersold due to PSR but at the time Gordon was the other option and he'd just come off his best season for us.

£120+m for Anderson is crazy money, no one could have predicted the progress he's made in the last 2 seasons but I'm not sure he's worth that to be honest. Rice playing next to him in the centre of the park is a 100-120m player but he does everything and plays 50 games a year for the last 5 years and consistently at the top level.
