Hadi Alodid appeared in court via videolink, and has been remanded in custody for four weeks.

The cheeky ****ers applied for bail, that was rejected. The judge also commented anyone involved in last nights disturbances will be going to jail or words to that affect.

The guy he attacked was a NHS Radiographer - the victim has lost his left eye, and his right eye is not sounding great either.

Reform's deputy leader Richard Tice has come out an said last night violence was 'utterly unacceptable.' I mention that because it's important to calm this situation.

Peaceful protests only please.

@Sucky, deleted your post bro, as I feel there was phrase in there that could get you in trouble the same way Lucy Connolly got in trouble.

While we can talk about events, we can't be seen to encouraging them. I've also deleted the quote in the next comment.

Soz about that, while I feel your same frustration, I have to moderate language that encourages/incites crime.

Thanks...

What that pos did is horrific and I get people are angry and upset but I don’t see how setting fire to houses and destroying cars helps anyone.

Also why is the outrage so selective? Some incidents result in rioting and others don’t?

Some crimes just capture the imagination. Maddie McCann gets infinite press/attention whereas another kid is never heard of. Murder A is all over the news and Murder B isn’t.

Obviously some people are just racist and want an excuse to kick off but I think for a lot the perception is nothing is being done to vet would-be violent migrants. People who aren’t hugely on top of the boring details of immigration see Foreign Bloke A has come to Belfast via Paris and Dublin and has been told he can stay five years and now does this so they’re angry about that because it feels more avoidable than Belfast Man B doing the same thing.

I don’t think we know yet what this bloke’s history is but the perception is we just let anyone in and take the risk, whether that’s true or not.

I'd have let him out on bail ...

'Off you go fella - out that door there" ...

Don't really get what's going on in NI and now in Scotland.

Have seen videos in Glasgow of random people of colour getting attacked in the city centre whilst doing their shopping

The idea again that this is an "England problem" is for the birds
Italy France Spain and Portugal too all over the last few weeks

Because the rich that own the media have once again convinced poor people that other poor people are the problem.

Im pretty sure the majority of people don't want the scenes we saw from Belfast last night.

However, it's all too easy to blame 'far right thugs'. Why are people suddenly feeling the need to attack police, burn cities? Its probably because they see things happening every week and yet the government just seem to sit there appealing for calm. Eventually people will take it in to their own hands and that's what we are starting to see. We saw similar with the BLM movement 5 or 6 years ago. It shouldn't get this far.

The government need to change something or it will just keep getting worse. Keep spewing out the same stuff after every attack is just increasing the frustration and anger.

Wait until England are knocked out of the world cup on penalties by DR Congo in round 2. Everything will be burnt to the ground at 3am. Then it will be the football yobbos. Society is frustrated from multiple angles. The violence seen is just releasing a little pressure before the next match is lit.

We are 3 years from a general election. **** knows how bad it will be before then. Digital I.D will be a fun time, that will be Starmers next nail in the coffin. At least it might bring people together again.

Problem was the Sudanese national asylum application should never have been accepted knowing that he had exploited our internal CTA common travel area to enter the UK.

They are talking now how to tighten up the CTA, but really you don't need to - it just requires common sense.

If someone applies for asylum coming via the CTA route it's pretty ****ing obvious they are not British or Irish, this aint rocket science, we just allowing ourselves once again to be mugged off. He even needed an interpretor in court today.

They arrive at Dublin then are directed to the Translink route into Belfast, due to no hard border you can't stop him, but once he throws in his application go arrest him or if at a future date he's found to be an undocumented migrant, again you arrest him.

What you don't do is stamp a document that says it's ok mate, you can stay until 2028.
