Not looking good in Belfast, they've set a couple of houses on fire, can only guess the reasons why. Certainly wouldn't want to be migrant or even anyone of any nationality (nor of colour) other than white Irish out there at the moment.

Fire brigade on scene and people helping trying to encourage the scared people out of their homes adjacent to the fires for their own safety.

**** living there.

They’re already starting to sentence people involved in the Southampton riots.

Remember when they rushed the case through for them scumbags that kicked **** out of police officers in an airport? Nah, me neither.

More two tier policing and justice on display. They dont even try and hide it now.

Starmer took the knee for George Floyd. A guy who said the words ‘I can’t breathe’ while in handcuffs. Any sign of him doing it for the teenager in the UK who also said ‘I can’t breathe’ while in handcuffs?

I'd actually seen suggestions that paramilitaries were involved, but I sort of dismissed that as scare mongering.

What I did see were kids setting industrial size bins on fire, then other people coming along later and being more organised in the destruction - but whether there is any substance in that I've no way of knowing (paramilitaries).

I just know even me being a white guy, I wouldn't want to be in Belfast at the moment, and any migrants that go there must be off their ****ing rocker.

What one of the Belfast MP's has said tonight, can't remember her name, but well known, is this Sudanese guy, travelled across Europe (EU) eventually ending up in Dublin, then under CTA arrangements caught a bus into Belfast.

I don't really see the sense in smashing up your own town, but as the MP said, you've got to stop calling people racist who have been raising concerns about unvetted migration.

I personally wouldn't allow any Somalian or Sudanese into the UK, if they crossed the channel, genuinely wouldn't. Go read the war thread where I put up some of the past savagery going on in those countries, and yesterday acted out on the streets of Belfast.

I’m sitting with a Scottish person now and seeing some of the texts going around about Belfast from paramilitaries. They’ve said every man over the age of 18 is expected to go out and protest. Women are to stay at home. There’s lads in Scotland arranging for people to go over and join the protests with their ‘brothers in arms’

I want to add to the above...

That Robert Jenrick was in power when my above post occurred and he 'welcomed Sudanese nationals.'

Robert Jenrick formally stated that the UK was "proud to have welcomed Sudanese nationals" during his tenure as Immigration Minister in 2023. In parliamentary written answers regarding asylum seekers and refugees fleeing conflict in Sudan, he consistently noted that the UK welcomed eligible individuals through formal resettlement schemes and refugee family reunion routes.

So ALL politicians are to blame for this mess and they are just taking the piss out of us. They ALL need to be held accountable for unfettered migration.

That's the thing out there mate, they don't **** about, if you don't do your bit you become the target.

Brother lived in Belfast and been over there multiple times. Lovely people, big hearted, very friendly but it's pretty clear that you don't **** about with them.

Bus burnt out, roads blocked by balaclava men, police car burnt out, fires in middle of road to stop vehicles and then what looks like targeted houses set on fire.

Not looking good. Tomorrow will be all about the 'far right'. That will just make it worse.

What I'm shocked about is its taken this long.
Was over in the republic last summer and it was getting to boiling point in places then, it was going to happen sooner or later

Yeah I heard they've been checking the occupants of cars, on the road blocks. Think I'd stayed holed up where I am until police restore control.

We've been had by all the parties and Farage's mob will be no different.
Criminally corrupt politicians and police and everything in between, this country is ****ed!

Since the ship-building industry died this is one thing you can rely on Belfast to do properly. Southampton and the like have a lot to learn.

Looks horrific. Setting fire to a terraced house because a random brown family live there.

The prods and catholics are in agreement on what you said above allegedly, which is like Kendrick lamars they not like us getting cribs and bloods dancing together at concerts.

Was always going to happen and it will happen here on that level too should the media and politicians keep beating around the bush or avoiding the elephant in the room all together or worse tell us Diversity is our strength or that we're far right nazis for talking about it

BBC northern Ireland this morning reporting it as a stabbing in Belfast

So I guess the BBC have chosen the more stirring up of hate option <laugh>

Historically some circles in the south have always had a grievance with the catholics in the north for being occupied and the whole Ulster thing

And thats the very reason it was always going to start up there first.

The north (both sides) still have the generation that are grew up in conflict so once they get involved and organise it could get a lot worse for the imported terrorists than a few house and car fires

The south might take a while to catch up

I wonder how the people of Belfast are feeling this morning.

I'm sure there will be be a few "men" very happy with themselves. But id assume the vast majority will be horrified by every aspect of yesterday.

What exactly have they achieved?

Apart from making the area they live in look a bit more of a **** hole

What's the alternative?

Peaceful protest lol

Voting lol

Well peaceful protest and voting don't end up with a huge bill for the council, people's property destroyed & an overall feeling of disgust.

Im unsure if believing voting or protest is useless, should lead to taking a third course of action that also is useless.

I understand people's frustration, but actions like this just give the opposition ammunition to denounce any dissenting voice.

People are rightly concerned with immigration and the state of some of our streets, but while the figure head and leading lights are grifters & charlatans, nothing useful will be done.

Unfortunately non of this is possible though is it?

It just comes across as slobbering incoherence without any real thoughts behind it. I will also say, the let's welcome all migrants they're great, is also ridiculous.

As with everything a considered position is required, unfortunately the rhetoric seems to be dominated by the extremes. With little appetite to actually do something constructive and sort the issues out.

Edit: I will say I understand your point of view, I understand why the extremes of both sides are swelling in number.

When successive governments have failed to come up with a coherent strategy and just kicked the can down the road while coming up with quite ridiculous sound bite strategies, the frustration is going to grow

@Sucky, deleted your post bro, as I feel there was phrase in there that could get you in trouble the same way Lucy Connolly got in trouble.

While we can talk about events, we can't be seen to encouraging them. I've also deleted the quote in the next comment.

Soz about that, while I feel your same frustration, I have to moderate language that encourages/incites crime.

Thanks...
