I am interested to see where Leicester go with their appointment.
In our time down there, we tried out both the "big name" and the "guy with the good record for that division".
Leicester fans seem to think it'll be Martin.
Which could be entertaining to watch on L1 pitches in December.
Probably good for them in the long term though he'll probably still run things through his son.

I am struggling to understand how their relegation means additional payments to London households. Is this something that can be challenged in the courts? This has been mentioned in the press when West Ham were still not certain of going down. This will sit poorly with London tax payers.

I think not. I may be wrong or misremembering, but when it was built for the 2012 Olympics, it was an insane amount of money. The only way it could be justified was that it was rented out for other sports/occupied a lot of the year. In step West Ham, and basically are helping with rent paying back the cost. They negotiated a clause that if they go down, the rent does too.
It is better than the alternative that West Ham move else where and London have no tenant for the stadium.
It never should have remained an athletics stadium. Should have been built with the plan to convert it to a football stadium from the off like in Manchester.
I think eventually West Ham will end up buying it for a really low price as don't see the current arrangement lasting forever.
I believe they had a lease for 100 years when they first went in.
That's right yeah but it doesn't suit either party, it's a loss maker for the owners and West Ham as tenants can't take any action to improve it for them.
At some point the loss it's making will outweigh the bad PR of selling it at a knockdown price imo.

The Panorama documentary was as expected. No real surprisers there - just David Sullivan allegedly behaving as you would have expected. Totally deserved the opprobrium before the programme.
Wolves going for Jiménez and Trippier is interesting.. Both 35, both have had fairly substantial injury issues and both presumably on massive wages.

Trippier is a crafty ****er, especially when the opposition launches a long diagonal ball towards him for a big striker to out jump him.
He has mastered the perfectly timed push on opponents leaping for the ball, without getting caught out because the linesman is almost always at the other end of the pitch and the referee’s positioning often means the opponent shields the push from his view.

How can a club morally operate when it's own chairman has to have a safeguarding order put in place preventing them from interacting with the clubs own woman and youth teams?
