He's older than Rover, just.Wonder why he left Fulham?
I agree to an extent (and I'm 34), but the volume of music at sport is really getting a bit annoying. Stops you being able to talk.I know 100% that I am fighting a losing battle supporting the DJ on this forum where the average age here is probably about 60 and I’m 30 years below that.
As I said, different strokes for different folks.
I think it’s obvious that those who are a bit younger enjoy the DJ and those who are older do not.

It's our time.
You’ve got me wondering now. The music link will have totally gone over my head.My 'memory' thought it was 'theatre of hate' as a play on 'theatre of dreams'...
Fulham Brighton, both much the same to me.Wonder why he left Fulham?
It was first sung in the Kempton towards the end of our life at Boothferry Park so it has some age to it. I didn't know it was Sunderland's song when City fans first sang it, it was just a popular song that caught on. I know Sunderland sing it but it doesn't make it their copyright and cannot ever remember them singing it at Boothferry Park.
I thought it was a bit cringeworthy at first but it has stood the test of time at City, much, much longer than most terrace songs.
I quite like the shortened version played before kick off and no-one can argue that it isn't loud and sang with some passion especially in games towards the end of last season. So in my eyes it is the best we have have and the best I can remember.
In the ideal world we would have our own anthem, original and meaning something only to us and I do envy Hull Fc having 'Old Faithfull', and HKR have recently adopted the Erasure song and made it their own. So it can be done even though I cannot see what Erasure have to do with East Hull or a cowboy song has to do with Hessle Road but there you are.
I'd stick with Elvis for now and maybe give Acun's Turkish anthems a listen too, maybe he might have a gem amongst them? Whilst throwing the challenge out there in a serious attempt for an artist, group or anyone for that matter to come up with something better.
The villagers would be up in arms.Property on the market across the road from where I live, just over a mile out of Beverley, maybe 5 miles from Hull City centre. Over 6 acres, Open country side, not over looked and very private, country house with outbuildings and a couple of cottages.......and polo fields plus facilities. It was the home of polo around here up to recently.
Offers around £2m.
Good investment for someone with an interest in property and polo?
Would also make an excellent training ground for a progressing football club, IMO ?
Now then, long time no see. Tickton Hall has been empty for a while, don't know how long. If you look on the Hull Live site they have a feature on it and it is truly fabulous with access to the 80 acres of paddock land and outbuildings. The lot is offers of £2m for the Hall in 6.4 acres of its own and £1.25m for the paddock ( the old Beverley Polo club). The Hall's owners sold the Crown and Anchor pub quite recently too, so I hear, which they originally bought to give another access point by the side of the river Hull. The villagers would be up in arms.
They carnt use the slip road anyway at the moment. think what it would be like with all those high powered cars turning right out of there.
Could get messy.
As an aside. My daughter, when she was at Beverley High School , did some baby sitting for the previous owners ( also had to serve sherry to the riders at the hunt whilst they were mounted on their horses. - we didnt know this at the time otherwise she would not have gone!). When it came to payment they said they didnt have any cash and would "drop it in".
It never arrived.
She is 41 now.
Should have placed a Lien against the property but never got around to it. That £20 would be worth a bit now.
Got me thinking about youth exploitation - Whilst our son was looking for work as a condition of Universal Credit he got sent to a job in the kitchen of a restaurant down Butcher Row (he was sent there by the Job Centre). He was told to do the washing up for a week to see if he could do it. after the first night he learnt that he had to do this for a week without pay to see if he was any good.
He never went back.
The restaurant will have just got the next one in. Rinse and repeat. Washing up done without ever having to pay.
if i had a spare 2mNow then, long time no see. Tickton Hall has been empty for a while, don't know how long. I see your point about the access from the main road but I also hear there are some rumblings about improving the road junctions at a couple of points along this stretch and a public meeting was held only last month so something is happening.
It cannot be any worse then the current bottle neck they have at Mill House Woods Lane with the lane reduced to the width of one car for its full length.
I mentioned the availability of this site because it would make an ideal training ground IMO.
If the owner is seriously looking to add some value to the club with a new training ground in mind I doubt if they would find a better site then this at this price..
I just wish I was in the position to bid for it because I think it is a snip.
As for 'cannot use the slip road' I have no difficulty at all with it and the only people who do seem to be those who don't know how to use one.
I agree with all of that. I was thinking about the small cohort of people who "Just drive on the roads I know" and dont know who how to use the slip road and stop at the junction. They are probably the ones who only ever use their car to go into Beverley. Almost certainly they have never joined a motorway. Now then, long time no see. The pub and the hall are about a mile apart and on opposite sides of the road so don't think that is a possibility .Now then, long time no see. I haven't made it up. There is a flyover carrying the road over the river Hull and the access was underneath it alongside of the river. It was mainly access for the Hunt but it is access none the less. The main access is off the main road directly into the grounds. The pub and the hall are about a mile apart and on opposite sides of the road so don't think that is a possibility .

Nice walk down the river and back
We do that same walk sometimesThen you should join the group that do a walk from the pub carpark at 10am every Sunday. They mix the walks up each week, but often walk to the nature reserve. They normally pop in the pub for a pint afyerwards
Any good news? The Premier League are installing the VAR equipment from West Ham’s ground into the MKM this week.
