Was also spotted at the NZ training session on Thursday……
Current and former players - I make it: Gunn, Tino, Virgil, Caleta-Car, Valery, Sugawara, Mane, Sulemana, Che, Stewart, Larin.
(I'm not counting Musiala as a former player.)
Friendly’s mean **** all in the grand scheme of things.
Especially a week before the WC. Honestly some of the comments on social media are unbelievable.
Are they really unbelievable though? It's the same every tournament.
As much as it disgusts me to use the Telegraph, their WC predictor seems like the friendliest one to use.
Can't decide whos going to win but its a Spain - Argentina final for me.
I have what is probably an overly enthusiastic prediction of 4th place for us.

Round of 32 - DR Congo
Round of 16 - Mexico... in Mexico City
Quarter-Final - Norway (who I have beating Brazil in R-16)
Semi-Final - Argentina (lose)
3rd Place Play off - France (lose)
Could easily lose against Mexico or Norway there mind, very much knife edge games for me, also could be Brazil in the Quarters.

A QF appearance is surely the minimum expectation.
I think we have a 26 man squad at home that could quite easily reach the QF tbh.
Outside of France, Spain and Argentina there isn't anything particularly concerning and I'd be amazed if it's anyone but these 3 or England who win it.

I think that potential Mexico game is a real banana skin tbh. Wouldn't surprise me at all if we lost that.
I'm still picking Brazil to win.
This is a good bit of fun. Put it on the 'from memory' mode to make it more difficult.
Basically it'll give you a random nation from a world cup on each roll and you have to pick a player for your team.
I've done it twice and lost to Croatia in last 16 both times though my second team was considerably worse.

Agree re Mexico, it would normally be a game we should win fairly comfortably but at the Azteca its a different kettle of fish.
Brazil relies heavily on the Ancelotti factor, they were relatively poor in qualifying and were a mile behind Argentina who they would likely face in the semis should they beat Norway, Mexico or ourselves.
