The 15th May 2005 can never be taken away from us, whatever s*** we have suffered and the filth have won.
My season ticket was front row top tier and 30 yards from goal so had a perfect view of things. Andy Hunt was in the press area directly in front of me, we were then hugging on the whistle once I told him that West Brom had now stayed up, he played for them and was a big Albion fan.

Without Sir Lennie and this goal I am sure the future success under Curbs would not have happened.
Blackburn at Sainsburys was our 3rd last 'home' game of the season which had less than 6000 there. We had 1500 maximum at St Andrews, the support was dying.
I was there for this game, and the other play-offs, if we had lost this game I am sure that Curbs and others would have not seen the Premier League days.

29th May 1987 Play Final Replay St. Andrews. My wife had just gone into labour so I watched it at the then Farnborough Hospital. My youngest son was born early on the 30th.
Alan Simonsen two goals against Chelsea 5th Match 1983.
Hales hat trick versus Fulham 17th December 1976 Game finished 3-2 (both scored by Alan Mullery)
Play off final 25th May 1998 my 49th Birthday
I was also at the famous 7-6 21st December 1957, although I don't remember anything about it in truth. I would have been 8 and my dad told me I was there.
Paul Mortimer goal at Selhurst Park v Chelsea
Kevin Lisbie Hat trick v Liverpool

I’m with @The Penguin - Bauer 94 for the absolute drama of the lateness of the goal and knowing that it was the winning goal. Like a penalty shoot out but even better.

And Chris Powell’s late goal in his final game. I’d said to my daughter during the game that he’d come on late in the game and score. It was just so inevitable but unbelievable all at the same time.

I've enjoyed many a goal at the Valley since getting my ST again back in 2007. The late draw with Swindon on Boxing Day when we were down to 9 men was bloody fantastic.

But it would have to be Wembley 2019. My only ever visit.
I didn't go in 1998 or 2024.

At least you were there for the best one.

Just watched the Mortimer goal from 1989.

The video doesn't really do it justice regarding the power of the shot, although the commentator does say it almost broke the net.
He scored a few decent goals in his career, one of my favourites was at Maine Road in March '90.

Against Chelsea........... <applause> <cheers>

The '98 play-off final at Wembley, of course. Aside from my wedding and the births of my kids, it was, and still is, the greatest day of my life.

I was 19 at the time. I had a job working nights in an automotive factory, earning decent corn. I even owned a mobile phone.

Life was great.

Some of my family were there.
I recall I had just moved home, and decided to watch the game on the old analogue Sky in the company of those family members who were not at the stadium itself.
A nail-biter of a game with plenty of twists and turns. Richard Rufus!
And Clive Mendonca. A legend forever.
As a Charlton fan I'm content to say it was the greatest Club game ever played at the old Wembley.
