Am I wrong in thinking that we are looking for recruits only from the usual lower divisions? I don't regard that as a change as we are stilll trying to make silk purses from sow's ears and it has never worked in previous years, so why now? We need a couple of classier players who have been there and done it and that kind of knowledge on and off the pitch is valuable to the youngsters in their development. We need to ring the changes but nothing I have seen and heard so far fills me with the confidence I was hoping to feel prior to the kick-off. Ah well there's still time to change and up the ante so time alone will tell the full story.
