Don’t play when conditions eventually allow play to take lunch instead .Inevitably, the rain them comes again when they do get on the field.
Cricket seems stuck in the 19th century in so many ways with its traditions and bureaucracy, yet the authorities will happily sacrifice what’s good about the long form of the game to accommodate the bastard love child of T20 - or worse still , the pointless Hundred

They earn a scratchy win on a dodgy surface after humiliating themselves in the Ashes and instead of knuckling down and working hard for the rest of the series they **** off to a nightclub at the first opportunity.
Stokes in particular a) has previous and b) has the responsibility as Captain. He's not even in good form himself.
A suspension or removal of the captaincy might damage morale, but maybe that's a price to pay.
